As I said, Kevin is a dumb nigger and Page would style on him. It took less than half a round for Kevin to look as clueless as Francis vs AJ.
TBF Page is a monster. He came out with an extremely wide stance with insanely fast short kicks. When he noticed the wide stance was getting him pinned to the cage, he pivoted to a smaller stance. He then was able to adapt to the MMA format a bit by using his lankiness to keep Holland from closing in. Holland mocking him at the end was just cope because he couldn't find an opening without getting his shit rocked.

Yeah Page is a beast. Him being able to land those right hands at will really demoralized Kevin too. Despite his brash attitude I like and respect him, especially fighting Khamzat etc. But damn MMA fans make fun of Chandlers fight IQ. Kevin is the benchmark.

edit: also how fucking brutal were those blind side elbows?

Has been a great card, I sat outside with the cat for the wmma fight.

R1: Malley on the bike, doesn't want a scrap with Vera. Mal picking good spots to land some nice strikes to the head. Vera showing some impressive leg work and teeps to slow down mals offence, eating some shots still. Ill score it to mal. 1 mal - 0 vera

R2:
Massive spinning heel from mal in the opening seconds glances off the guard of vera, huge spin glad it didn't end right there. Malley ramping up the energy, after a good teep and flurry, vera still holding his own offence. HUGE KNEE lands on vera, one minute to keep on the feet and vera is feeling it and mal is on him with headshots. Veras nose is busted up and eats another kick for free.

Heads ringing as Vera has a busted eye and nice knot on the forhead. R2 Malley. 2-0 Vera

R3:
Warm ups are over and malley looks like he can smell the blood in this round. Still throwing crisp jabs, working the feet and pressuring vera all over the cage. Vera is conscious of the feigns and its adding up on vera. Malley is peicing vera up and is looking bad, veras on the bike now but catching constant blows high and low.
Trading headshots both standing upright and going hard catching a few good shots for vera before falling to a failed kick to end the round. Its still looking like a
Mal 3- 0 Vera

R4:
Veras team knows hes down and needs some go time now. The problem is, this is bantam son and knockouts aint happening, as I say that mal throws a nice knee to live it up a bit but its dirty fighting now as vera has some desperation to fight for now. More combos and mal is busted up now and vera has a big red spot where mal has kicked him solid in the gut all night. Vera cant defend any of mals jabs, very frustrated into the closer, 1 min to go no resting on mally still using great defence and slipping jabs with impunity. Vera kicks an invisible child back into the shadow realm and we are going to see a final round 5.

4-0 mally.

R5:
Vera has visible glob of vasiline on that cut on the eye and its on. Mal still showing the energy to swing a massive spinning head kick that hits the bleachers but nothing else. Malley with no injuries is a good watch even if you know no ko is coming, its been non stop. However it looks to me vera might just crumple under the constant hamming but hes still showing great heart. Using much more shelling up, but not translating it to offence. 1 minute and its over, the distance insight. Mal defending a knee, still huge amounts of speed from mal to close it out.

R5 to mal 5-0, ill be waiting for the call to see who gets it.

E1: Malley up massive on the striking

Malley took it 50-45
:jaceknife:

The fight was pretty much over after the first knockdown, he looked totally zoned out after that.
If you watch his hands after the second knockdown he isn't even defending himself anymore. His front hand is down by his side. And his back hand is behind his chin and near his ear. Meaning he is giving Joshua a direct center line right to his chin. Joshua winds up for a full second then blasts him right down the pipe and Ngannou is not even paying attention. His eyes don't even register that Joshua is moving and he isn't even aware that he's in a fight and was clearly out on his feet.

He was absolutely zoned out and wasn't standing properly. Of course if the ref called it off people would scream "rigged" or whatever. So they let him take another blast to the face and require oxygen which was hilarious at how it played out.

VERA IS A DISAPPOINTMENT

Anyway, they have to book MVP vs WB the true Karate Combat ASAP. That can be a TOTALLY BORING fight where both guys just stare into each other tap dancing, but super cool one-shot KO can happen too. I also don't mind if they give MVP a title shot for keks (and Belal's tears).

The Fury fight was a work
No way. Ngannou has always been good at catch (with face) & shoot even though the rather spotty defense. Fury grazed Ngannou with a right straight, then Ngnnou shot back and Fury got hesitant due to the knockdown. It was totally in line with Ngannou's past winning patterns (e.g. he got caught then KO'd Roze/Overeem/Stipe2).

That didn't happen this time because Joshua just knocked him down, it was like catch & game over. This happens sooner or later if relied on their chin too much.

If you watch his hands after the second knockdown he isn't even defending himself anymore.
His corner should've thrown in the towel but it is what it is I guess.

i passed out mid-card but happy to see dustin win

I agree, that first round should've told Vera everything he needed to know. He can't compete with O'Malley and it was painfully obvious. A better fighter would've noticed sooner that he was losing the kickboxing match. Feeling each other out is fine but not when you're take 4-6 kicks a round without a return. O'Malley just ran circles on him and Vera did nothing. I should've left after Poirier.

They had to drain his eye to avoid it from swelling shut. It gave him problems that entire 5th round. I don't know if I call being a five round punching bag "great heart".

Too many close calls for him. Saint Denis is so much younger and stronger than him, it's a miracle Dustin pulled that out at all. I genuinely thought he was going to lose.

Watched 299 on replay:

Yan vs. Yadong was a good fight. Nothing to write home about.

Della Maddalena earned that W over Burns. I would check him for a concussion after he called for Shavkat after the fight, who would probably tear his heart out and offer it to Tengri.

Page vs. Holland is...something that happened. I don't see what the big deal about Page is. Yes, he pretty technically sound, he knows how to score points and he had a run in Bellator. I'll clap for the guy when he beats someone who matters.

Poirer vs. St. Denis sports-entertained me. St. Denis is a dangerous fighter, mentally tough, and has room to keep evolving if he chooses to. But Dustin has proven that he is the LW gatekeeper. If you can't get past him, and his gilly-spam, you're going to get eaten alive by any one of the next three. Dustin should get the next shot at the championship after Islam vs. Gaejthe.

O'Malley utterly outclassed Vera for 5 rounds. Vera tried to mount a comeback in the 4th and got shut down.

Winning patterns? LOL In a completely different sport.

Dude, you know how much money it takes to move a prop $4 or essentially half it?
Much more than what Drake usually loses on a single bet. It was likely around 5 million, at least.

Within an hour of it coming out, a week before the fight, before weigh ins and all the hoohaa media shit.
No professional punters or whales like Drake were dropping 6-7+ figures on Fury by Dec a week before the fight. It got hit hard and fast.

It didn't just trickle down either it went from $10, market suspended and then came back at $6.
Weirdly despite that, the under 4.5 rounds was still the fave line.

The Fury's made at least another 50 mil on top of the purse and card revenue, put Francis over and got him a payday too.
The only pattern was extremely abnormal betting and line movement, which is full gypsy. It was a fixed greyhound race of a fat irish man and a sand digging nigger to get to the finish line.

Francis gets fed to AJ, AJ didn't play with his food to get himself back in the mix, now everyone is clamoring for Tyson vs AJ instead of Usyk.

It's almost as if Tyson wrote the script to get himself the best outcome.

That’s MVP when he fights someone decent. You either give him undersized fighters or cans, and he gets a meme KO, or you give him someone decent to good, and he has a boring fight.

There is a reason they picked Holland, and that’s because even if it’s boring he will play to the antics and make it not so.

Damn, maybe Dana will send a supportive tweet while he's at the blackjack table.

Grant Dawson will fight Joe Solecki at UFC 302 on June 1st. It will be interesting to see if Grant can rebound from his loss to Bobby Green.
