This is in complete fanfiction territory, but I wish Charlie would beat everyone by submission including Macklechef, forcing Islam's superior out of retirement for his 30th match.
We can only dream. Never going to happen though. Dude has put on too much weight and between coaching and running EFC (which is hosting Kevin Lee vs Diego Sanchez in a super lightweight meme match), he's content with where his standing is in life. No more injuries, no more head trauma, a few stable sources of income leeching off of those cut from the UFC. All good.

I don't know how I feel about Figgy wanting to do the 4th Moreno fight right away. Rematches get done too quickly nowadays and they hold up divisions.
That said, it's not like there's much talent in the first place at Fly weight, I'd like to see Figgy fight Kai or Pantoja but Moreno would probably be a funner fight.

UFC is CLEARLY jealous of Pancrase and just wants their own knockoff Flyweight quadrilogy of Mitsuhisa Sunabe/Kiyotaka Shimizu!

you guys ready for strickland to pitter patter his way to a decision win tomorrow?
Dude has one of the weirdest/worst postures for boxing I have seen, yet somehow no one is able to take advantage of it. There was that clip of him being an ass and sparring with Dominick Reyes that the UFC put up to promote him, where he's eating jabs and straights as he walks down Dom, yelling incoherently. You would think someone would be able to deal with that, but they can't, and Hermansson isn't it.
---
@Gormy, fuck you, you were right. Pitter patter with good defence all around. Admitted to being shook and just cruising to a decision. Christ that was shit.

So apparently some dude just weighed in for a LHW fight, and missed weight by 12 fucking pounds (13 if you include the 1lb non championship allowance). How the hell do you fuck a weight cut up this badly? More importantly since you have to know it's gonna happen whey not do what Costa did and tell the UFC and see if they're willing to change the fight before weigh in, instead of leaving it til after and potentially missing out on the fight entirely.

Meanwhile Alex Perez missed weight by 2lbs, and his opponent Matt Schnell refused to take a catchweight bout. This is like the 3rd time this fight has been cancelled. Next weeks card main event of RDA vs Fiziev has been pushed to UFC 272 as a co-main, non title fight, 5 round fight. TBH, that card needs it, because it's headlined by the most casual of casual headliners, Covington vs Masvidal. Two people who have completely washed out of the title picture after two attempts at Usman each. At least this addition has the potential of giving us a new contender.

I thought Rob had rounds 2,4, and 5, but Israel winning that wasn't surprising. It was an overall tedious effort by both of them. Adesanya continues to be the most boring and overrated champion in the roster, even so called "boring" champions like GSP were doing a lot more than just leg kicking and sticking to the outside for 25 minutes.

Same, also thought Rob won it on those rounds. Rounds 4 and 5 were pretty uneventful, with both trading low kicks and jabs, then got some well timed takedowns, even if they didn't last too long.

Bisping was insufferable in that fight. "All he's doing is jabbing and the left hook"...yeah, cause every time he does it he's landing and snapping Adesanya's head back. First round was Whittaker freaking out like Colby did against Usman in his rematch for the first 2 rounds, once they both got got hit and dropped, and realised they could take the shot from the guy who brutally finished them last time, they loosened up and did better. Every time Adesanya stepped in to do something with his hands after that, he got tagged with the double jab, then later if he tried something like a lead hook, that was Rob's entry to the legs, so he did leg and body kicks, with uppercuts and knees to try and catch Rob coming in.

Adesanya really seems to fall into this sort of fight if the guy refuses to come at him, which is probably why Rob took this approach which was against type. If they come against him like Vettori or Costa, he seems to put on a better performance. Considering the big size and reach disadvantage, I thought Rob did well, certainly better than any recent Middleweight opponent (Gastelum got mauled and almost finished, and had maybe 2-3 instances of success) and came out rather unscathed for a 25 min fight. Pretty clear to me that no one else is likely to beat him or Adesanya, outside catching both with a good shot.

Heavyweight continues to decline with Tuivasa now a title contender. The shoey is such a forced meme that it's now annoying. At least his fight with Lewis was pretty fun. Cannonier having a great comeback and finishing Brunson in such a brutal fashion was great. We now get a new fight for Adesanya, even though I have no hope for Cannonier, it's something new. Bobby Green put on a clinic, Carlos Ulberg and Fabio Cherant are candidates for worst fight of the year, Douglas Silva De Andrade went through a war, and Blood Diamond got made into a meme after much hyping up from Adesanya and Volkanovski.

That fucking judge scoring it 49-46 really pissed me off. Definitely feel like Rob got robbed due to champions advantage. BispSHIT was sucking Israel's dick more than Rogan would of. But at least Tai proved himself to not being a heartlet, and having a great chin with real power.

Even more absurd was the rounds that jusge gave to Adesanya. The other two gave a very understandable 48-47, first 3 rounds to Adesanya, last 2 to Rob. This guy gave Adesanya 1,3,4 and 5. Few weeks from now we have Aspinall being given Volkov. If he lives up to expectations, we might have two new top five contenders before the end of next month. They really need them. Gane played out, Stipe is old/shot, Blaydes got raped twice by Ngannou, Lewis just got finished, and Volkov is a no hoper.

One of the stupidest knockouts I have seen in a while. This man is a fucking cartoon character even when he's getting knocked out.

This looked like the diviest dive in the history of dives to me at first. But when I paid attention to the way his legs bent and the look on his face from a different angle, he was definitely rocked. It looked like he was ~60% conscious, but that split-second moment of being off-balance was all Jamahal needed to close the show.

Looks like Walker's going to join the shadow realm and be remembered as the man with a head made of fucking construction paper, just like Amir Khan in the boxing world. Walker's durability is perhaps worse than Khan's; just getting tapped on the temple was enough to make his brain freak out a bit.

EDIT: Changed 80% to ~60% conscious. Sorry man, I'm having such a hard time believing that a 6 ft 5 behemoth can take a hit to the temple and immediately malfunction. I gotta watch the full thing...

I like how under SBG Ireland they want Walker to be this range outfighter when he can't circle the cage without crossing his feet. Just let him go spastic, he's not good at MMA, but he is physically strong. Just let him go out there, do stupid shit and he might win.

Just woke up an hour ago, and I'm still confused. Fighters don't get visibly rocked from a tap to the jaw, much less a tap to the temple. Guess I'll have to give Walker the award for worst chin (or worst head) in the UFC as of now. Then again, I don't know what he does in the gym, so perhaps his chin might be better if he toned his sparring sessions down.

But hey, at least the guy's a light-heavy. Keeps me from feeling too bad.

Also, now that I think of it, Luke Rockhold vs Walker would be such a good matchup, stylistically and from a chin perspective. Holy fuck
