Another fraudulent Ruziboev has entered the building. Just like his older brother he's coming in on short notice against a chinny guy on the back of a very ugly, padded record.

2 majority decisions, one against a debuting fighter while Ruzi was on his 12th fight, and another against a 12-17 guy. This is also his first fight since 2023. Absolute coal. Could've just given a contract to this guy instead, or Vartanyan who is a legit unsigned LW, but instead we get Uzbek Alex Reyes who will go 0-3 and cut.
Guy just pulled out before weighing in. Amazing.

I haven’t been able to watch shit for MMA recently, and I heard Walter Walker hit a bad ass heel hook. I always miss out on cool shit

Looks like Eric realized he got riled up by the jew and regrets thrashing Sean in public, but opens up by defending his actions. Both sides are accused of talking out of both sides of their mouths, bad look for everyone involved.

Maybe I'm reading too far into it, but I haven't seen anybody mention the emphasis Dana puts on 'once the first punch is thrown X title will be vacated'. Obviously Pitbull's Belator title is vacated, but it makes me wonder if Topuria technically doesn't have to vacate until the Volk-Lopes fight happens. For instance if one of them gets injured or the 155lb fight negotiations fall through, he could come back as the reigning champ.

Nice, just a few pages back I was saying I wished Ilia would fight Islam one day, but I was convinced Volk would get the rematch and it would never happen. That's a good sign, it shows that at least Islam isn't moving up anytime soon. And Volk not only gets to fight for the belt again, but also against an easier matchup. It sucks knowing that even if he wins, he will be forever be in the shadow of Ilia and Islam, but I'm always happy to see my short king winning regardless. And if Diego wins, I'm happy for him too. Seeing as Ilia's moving up, it opens the possibility of Merab moving up soon after one defense or two as well. And whoever Ilia fights, I just hope it's not Dustin as he's supposed to retire after his next fight, and that would not end well for him.

big fucking news
ilia vacates the featherweight title to move up to lightweight

Real reason he dropped is he wanted to get out of FW before Sean Woodson made it to the top 10 (6'2" FW from St. Louis, MO)./sneed

Yeah, this is MMA the fight business and nobody is owed anything, etc.
With that out of the way, Ilia's first fight should be a top 10 lightweight.
But, everybody at LW is kind of busy at the moment. Justin is fighting Dan, Gamrot doesn't want to catch the hammers, Moicano just lost, Dustin is 1 or 2 away from hanging it up, I don't know if Max wants to dance again, Chandler is fighting Paddy, and Charles is waiting for another title shot (which he deserves). Dariush could be offered up as a sacrifice, but is willing to take the fight?

We are in a world where Jack is getting a WW title shot ahead of Shavkat against Belal. The ummah needs to stay learn how to stay healthy. This will probably be a real test of Belal's chin/body since Jack drops hammers like a drunk carpenter.

Should be but won't be. The UFC knows that giving reigning champion fighters a free title shot at another weight class is good for business. Plus Ilia vacated his belt which leaves UFC the opportunity to immediately crown another champion. The UFC heads love those scenarios. Worst case for Ilia is that he fights someone for an interim fight at LW.

JDM is on a 17 fight win streak with 8 of them in the UFC (one is from the Contender Series). Shavkat is 20-0 with 7 UFC wins but injured.

If Pitbull loses to Yair I'll cry. Evloev's probably fuming too, though I can't fault them for not putting him in a title fight.
Pitbull is old, and has had a ton of damage. Yair is gonna headkick him back to Bellator. But seriously Yair is super inactive so he doesnt have the same level of damage as some of these other guys. Pitbull has to grapple straight away, yair sucks ass on the ground and gives up.

I NEED Paddy vs Illia eventually, my hope is that Illia beats Islam, becomes champ and calls out paddy. I have a feeling the UFC is throwing the checkbook at Islam to wait for Illia. Islam doesn't have a TON of time left, so I think he is going to be very strategic about his career going forward. Not his fault all his defenses have some sort of issue.

Hell yeah, fellow Sean Woodson appreciator. Can't wait for his Ige fight. That is such a good test, Ige is very well rounded, Bjj Black belt, decent power, GOOD chin - 5 rounds with emmett and didnt get finished, and he controls the cage very well. I do think that Woodson takes this, but it's gonna be a great test.
I love Volk, but Lopez is the future of FW. We need the Evloev rematch as a title fight. Might just throw some money on volk, pretty sure he will come in as the under dog. 2 KO losses in a row and 36? Still hoping he pulls this off, Volk's fights are pretty much always entertaining.

I learned to never discount Yair after the Korean Zombie fight. That’s going to be an awesome fight.

Hell yeah, fellow Sean Woodson appreciator.
One of my favorites too. I love watching unorthodox dudes who actually make it work. Dan is gonna be in trouble if he dismisses Sean’s power. Sean is also incredibly accurate with his punches and has sickening cardio. This is gonna be a fun one for sure.
