Mrenter states that the episode is not just bad, but it is insulting because it doesn't consider the fact that people could have bad parents. This is a great example of Mrenter missing the point, the point of the episode was to tell someone that can be trusted about a bullying problem, and not necessarily a parent, the episode covers this by having one of the children suggest going to other people besides the parent. This is also seen during the moral of the episode where two of the children goes to the third childs parent, thus showing that you don't necessarily have to go to your own parents to resolve a bullyin problem.
Mrenters third paragraph isn't clear, the language he is using makes it difficult to determine what he is trying to suggest. I believe he is trying to say that the show isn't being realistic enough by having a situation where schools don't care about bullying problems. If this is the case, Mrenter is partially correct, but for the wrong reasons. While students seem to overwhelmingly believe that teachers are not doing an ideal job preventinh bullying, many teachers believe that they. It is not a case of apathy, but rather ignorance.
An idea that MrEnter fails to consider when consider when someone decides to bully is this person's mental state. Children are at risk of bullying other children when they themselves are subjected to bullying as well. What I mean by this is that bullies aren't bullies because they are sociopaths, but (in the case of Babs) are bullies due to the fact they have low self esteem and are more vulnerable to peer pressure (

MrEnter also seems to believe that retaliating against a bully is the equivolant of defending yourself, its not, and it is something that you should never encourage your children to do as it can get them into trouble (
http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/mediaroom/backtoschool/Documents/Bullying-Prevention Tips for Parents/Tips-What To Do If Child Is Being Bulliedpdf.pdf). Just to make it clear, the act that MrEnter believes to be "self defense" was sabotaging a float in order to cause it to crash into a lake, the characters even refer to this as revenge.
The biggest irony here is the harm that Mrenter has done by making this essay. He is actually promoting a mind set which reduces the likelihood that children who bullies will stop bullying. Not just because he is using the label of "bully," this would be too much of a nitpick if it was the only reason, but actively stating that a bully could not realistically realize they were doing something wrong. This encourages children to continue acting the way they have been acting since they would believe they could never change. (

I am fairly certain I surpassed MrEnter in terms of being a sperg with writing this response. I also believe it is important for people to be informed about bullying, even if I come off spergy, try to consider the information I have provided. I am fairly certain that I did more research while writing this than he did writing this essay. MrEnter should seriously do some research before tackling a topic like this, especially if he has a broad audience who takes his word as law, it could lead to some unfortunate consequences if he continues.
