You can't claim victimhood if you aren't miserable and depressed. It's something Chris doesn't realize - he is trying to make himself happy through misery, which is 100% guaranteed not to work ever.

It's like an autistic version of Munchausen Syndrome.
 
Munchausen has its roots in wanting to be a caregiver. Chris is just a mentally stunted child copying a complete lunatic. He doesn't have a plan beyond attempting to latch onto the lifestyle and behavior of whoever he is in closest contact with. And Godbear help him, that just so happens to be Barbara Chandler.

Chris has a severely disturbed view of things. He actually believes that he and he alone should be the only one allowed to copulate with females. ALL females. Your girlfriend, your little sister, your mother, all of them are a part of Chris' vast harem to breed out Crystal as promised by GodBear as far as he's concerned. Any other male on Earth would be rounded up & exterminated at the vast network of CWConcentration Camps.

This is why I tend to prefer Sad Chris over Smug Chris, because it gives him an opportunity to be more humble and get a better idea of his true place in the Cosmos. He keeps failing the lesson every time of course, but maybe one day it'll finally sink in.
 
Wow, Chris manages to distort the Snyder Trial so heavily that now he is not only the victim but he somehow "won" the whole ordeal? Jesus, the mental loops to come to that must reach the stratosphere

Indeed, not to mention the jealousy just drips off of him in all of this correspondence...he can't handle anyone being better than him at anything. While that's nothing new, it kind of lends credence to the whole "Chris never changes" crowd. He doesn't change because he doesn't want to.

Not really, the moment they are a year older they are no longer considered good enough for him. And for some reason his current idea of minimum age seems to be 23 years of age.

Someone told him the "half your age plus seven" rule, so now he treats it as if it was writ in stone, just like the third date rule. I wouldn't be surprised if the next alteration to his OKCupid profile is bumping it up to 24 on his birthday

That's not Munchausen, nor Munchausen by proxy. Munchausen syndrome is when a person feigns illness for sympathetic attention, Münchausen by proxy is when a caregiver deliberately harms or makes ill a person in their care so they garner sympathetic attention for being seen as a selfless caregiver.

That made me grin, but I'm willing to wager there's an actual name for this behavior that isn't autism.

Going to have to agree that Colin was too accomodating of lunacy, but if he'd been played any more normal, we'd either have no content because why would anyone who is a complete stranger to Chris do anything but ignore him, especially if he's like Colin or we'd be on Thetan's ass about weenery and a-logging because the interaction would be short and harsh.

Colin seems nice, does he have a brother? :tomgirl:.
Kinda surprised he didn't ask if Colin had a wealthy sister who was single, please don't kill me.

Actually, for some reason Chris's use of "City Boy" reminded me of "My Name is Mud" by Primus. There's a line in the song that goes: "Where you goin' city boy?"

My mind works on odd ways sometimes.
