You can always still play older releases or mod the new shit out if you want, too

It's unbelievable to me that a game so inexpensive and moddable is subject to this endless griping on practically every update because it didn't include every autist's preferred favorite niche feature and/or they weren't personally consulted for approval prior to development starting.
"Why don't they listen to their players?" 1) They probably do listen to the players who actually talk to them (like human beings, not oppressors/tormentors/jailors/slaves), 2) the "players" are so broadly varied, of differing opinions, and fuckin' schizophrenic, I can't say I blame them for not wanting to listen either, and this is coming from somebody who fucking loathes Microsoft and everything they touch/own.

How do you manage to say absolutely nothing with so many words? Holy shit who gives this much of a shit about a children's sandbox video game? You're whining that they aren't adding what YOU want, as fast as YOU want, as if them adding any of this takes away from any previous version. It cost as little as $10 and no more than $30, depending on when you bought it. You have complete access to EVERY version of the game, with thousands of mods and modpacks to choose from, and you can host a multiplayer server (for cracked launchers!) for any of the versions made for multiplayer.
From Microjang's point of view it's a children's sandbox game, that's their target market and who they're making updates for. Sure there's a pretty big difference between the Java and Bedrock versions, but nothing they add takes away from any older version. They easily could've just scrapped Java or made it harder to mod or have open source launchers, but they didn't. They made modding easier. They let you play 1.12.2 forever.
It's okay to enjoy things, and I for one am glad they don't listen to terminally online angry faggots.
I said many times over this isn't about me, this has been a recurring thing with well over the majority of players. Any poll about player's opinions of the updates over the past decade have been increasingly negative and we've reached the majority a long a while ago.
Even the biggest youtubers like mumbojumbo and his ilk have reluctantly pointed out the pointlessness of many of mojang's additions, with their highest praises for most of the rest being on par with "wow, Xth tinted thing, we'll be able to decorate better" over and over again.

Yes, shitty new versions and additions damages the game's identity and thus deviates from its roots further and further
It makes it increasingly worse and increasingly frequent that the next additions are gonna be bad.
It dilutes the core of the game and will inevitably turn it into some McFuckin koreaslop everything buffet that is mediocre at all it does, unlike the original MC where what it did was the best of its class at its time.
It went from carving its path as a trailblazer to literally being a trendchaser hinging its marketting on false public interaction to add inconsequential cutesey mobs that people yell around to get their preferred flavor of slop.
And it's a fucking diversion tactic, get the goyim focused on something flashy while they unload their latest spew. manipulate the coverage to make people less able to notice what's being done to them, and when the update's here and they "wake up" to that fact, it's already been too long in the game for them to care, and every new version cement that shit into place until "it's always been there bro, if you don't like it you just don't like minecraft"

more complaining about the new dimension but moreso about newer updates in general; while i like updates like deep dark (cool, more reasons to explore underground, scary if you're a newer inexperienced player, risk-reward survival shit, etc, blocks are unique and make for really good decor that also ends up being dynamic) and trial chambers (similar reasons + i actually love the copper update), the Mobs are absolute dogshit these days.
What are the windy things called, gusts? Either way, they're kind of useless. Same with the nautilus, and the warden, and all of the mobs introduced with the sift... i'll go insofar as to say mobs like the polar bears are similarly stupid. Sniffer is the penultimate example but it's being championed out by that blob bunny thing and the sift abominations. What is all of their purpose? A lot of their design philosophy is slowly phasing out of being "blocky" and now into that weird detailed mod-like look that's too modernish for the game. A lot of these mobs are weirdly hyperspecific and barely serve any purpose in the game outside of just standing around being a mild annoyance and/or help. Older mobs all have this weird charm to them and all have a very direct purpose for existing but, like, what will I ever need a gust for? Why should i take time to find a sniffer, especially now that the flowers are in the sift realm? Etc etc.

Breezes. They drop breeze rods, which convert to wind charges. Wind charges can do some cool shit like interact with buttons and levers, and can push mobs and players.
