I said in the GTA grieving thread that I might make a thread about this game. Since it releases in about a month and a half, I figure a thread should be made about it.
So far, not much gameplay has been shown but it has the protagonist of Mafia 3 as the protagonist.

These are the types of games I really like but who knows how good it will be. They’re charging $59.99 for it so that's nice of them at least.
Here’s one of the trailers.

what this reminds me of, based off what ive seen from trailers, is if like they took watch dogs and mafia definitive edition and merged them into a singular title

MindsEye has suffered a leak of gameplay footage.

Looks like Cyberpunk 2077 to me. I can't believe that releases in June of this year.

Watch dogs is a more apt comparison. Cyberpunk has air strafe and free mantling allowing you climb environents with some degree of skill expression. This looks like a more 2d stuck to the ground affair.
Yeah, I can see the Watch Dogs comparison. Although, with Ubisoft games, I'm used to the screen being cluttered with UI elements. It looks fine, but not worth full price.

Yeah I won’t be paying 60 bucks for this unless it’s got absolutely rave reviews from non shills.

This game comes out in less than a month and there’s barely any gameplay nor marketing.
I’m still hoping it won’t be terrible as it and Mafia: The Old Country might be the only things close to potentially resembling a GTA like experience in 2025 now that GTA 6 has been delayed.

I never even heard about this game until now. But, does seem it can be fun.
There's a tweet (A) regarding a preview build of MindsEye with "negative feedback" attached to it.

Previews for Mindseye (by former Rockstar Games producer Leslie Benzies) are out and they are not looking promising at all.

A quick rundown:- Reportedly a broken mess, filled with bugs.- 15 hours long story- Driving feels “stiff”- Cut scenes look great and are well animated- Enemy encounters lacked depth and enemies just “run at the player”- Combat generally feels fine, very-GTA like - “Arcadia” is the content creation mode that you can get into by stepping into a portal, only available for PC at launch - Arcadia can be used to build encounters around the map- Developers seemed to hint that the main city (Red Rock City) doesn’t have much content and will be a focus post-launch- Previews think the game should be delayed

Co-CEO of MindsEye developer, Build a Rocket Boy, claims that the negative reaction of MindsEye are from paid conspirers by Rockstar Games.

I knew that MindsEye was built from the EVERYWHERE platform when it was announced; I recall they outright mentioned it. I'm not sure how that was lost as they were marketing the title. People calling it a holdover for GTA 6 have their expectations wildly unrealistic, to say the least. I don't think it's worth the $60 asking price, but comparing a new studio's first game to a highly anticipated blockbuster is setting yourself up for massive disappointment.

From the footage I've seen, it reminds me of Agents of Mayhem, Crackdown 3 and the reboot of Saints Row. Everything looks standard fare. Nothing in particular stands out since we're used to this open world format that GTA 3 pioneered several years ago.

And it'll be competing with Mafia: The Old Country come August.

As long they have these soy infested SBI inserted black characters with that stupid super gay rasta haircut, this game will be DOA.
