I don’t think it’s the norm to keep large bombers in hangers, B-2 excepted. The amount of hanger space you would need would be impossible, look at Barksdale or Minot AFB. We park all of our B-52s outside, I assume it’s the same for the B-1 fleet.

B-52's do have hangers.

A flying ME-262 reproduction that I believe is 1:1 will be flying at the Reading WW2 airshow in Pennsylvania this weekend. I didn't know one even existed. I would love to see that thing fly.

99% of polled pilots will prefer their own aircraft to any other. Just how it works, no matter how shit the aircraft.
The exceptions are always US Harriers, Phrogs and the honest navy pilots who flew anything that wasnt the Tomcat

The hangers are for maintenance purposes, not storing them.
There also was the issue of the START treaty that was in power until late 2023. It required these aircrafts to be visible from space in order to be visually confirmed. It likely was one of the few parts that were kept informally as an unofficial agreement on how many strategic bombers each side has. Though, building these will take time so I would expect them to be conducted in a much more expedited manner.

I expect them to be built soon now that the drone threat is patently obvious.

In any case i really like the A400 Atlas. Turbofans are cool my guys. Want to see a gunship version lmao, though it might be a bit big for that.

Based on satellite footage, they seem to at least erect some sheet metal structures on stationary positions. At least, provides modest protection from rain.

Knowing Airbus, it would likely be some clunged together set-up where one part is made in Spain, one part in the Netherlands and one part in Romania with none of the branches being willing to actually talk to each other. Also, Germany will likely do their usual rug-pull procurement routine of ordering like 50 and then cancelling the order, leaving the other people of the Joint Air-Ground Support Aircraft program to hold the bag with 12 being bought by France, 4 by Poland, and 2 by Spain.

>park your priceless historic planes outside
>they get bombed
Iranians are like Arabs: plainly retarded.

It's going to be interesting to see if they're going to go with a Russian or a Chinese aircraft to replace the Tomcat with. They inevitably want something that fills the same role of long-distance missile chucker with a big radar. Something like a MiG-31, if new production starts?
I'm not sure they were even flying much at this point. I believe the last video was from 2015

Imagine being so pathetic that your crowning achievement is taking out an enemy who's secret weapon is the shitbucket hangar queen Tomcat. lol.
