Strategic dilemma. Armor can be neutralized by drones, but drones cannot physically occupy and control territory; you need armor for that.
Furthermore while for now drones are dangerous there also hasn't been much dev time for hard kill countermeasures. And accurate success rates for drone missions won't be available for years if not decades anyways. This is more or less the first conflict to see this level of drone warfare being used en masse and even then it's a small regional conflict that pits a has been against a never was.

Two F-117s flew thru Cali. Mark Von Raesfeld took the photos. Apologies for the watermarks. I didn't take the time to view the html to find them without.

The Norks just commissioned their first Choe Hyon Destroyer.
NK-Destroyer-2025.webp
5000 tons, 72 VLS cells, Pantsir style cwis in the back, 130/127(?)mm indigenous gun, two dual torpedo launchers, two AK-630 CWIS, anti ship missiles, and various other systems. Notable for having a phased array, much like a AGEIS destroyer, albeit a older type.

Now on that extreme VLS to weight ratio

This ship is COVERED with multiple cells of multiple sizes. Those big ones in the back are probably ballistic missiles. This thing has a fuck ton of fire power, but considering it only weighs 1000 pounds more than a Perry, it sounds like a fire hazard.

Reddits favorite aircraft is finally being depreciated for a superior platform that doesn't kill so many friendly troops. Seething is immense.

"The A-10 is a ground troops guardian angel how dare he!" More like grim reaper..

Nevermind actual stats showing it's shit at it's one job (far out paced by other aircraft in all conflicts) and it can't even kill modern tanks with its meme gun.

It is at Selfridge. It's still in service bro.

Strafing as a tactic is very hazardous anyways when everyone and their mother in a real conflict has low-level air defense dispersed around. Still, I think having a cheap aircraft that can lob more bombs and fly faster than a Super Tucano is a niche worth developing. I'd also leave one token autocannon in the aircraft because sometimes you just need something that can ventilate a truck with nice big holes.

CAS biggest dangers are becoming lesser by technology like that's in the F-35. The pilot being able to see through the aircrafts body with the camera arrays across it's surface via AR, and more refined and detailed IFF information for ground targets. The F-35 doesn't even have to be the one conducting the strike but instead acting as an AWACS feeding that data to other aircraft. Plus it can carry a bigger payload than the A-10. The A-10 cockpit also just offers bad visibility in general. The OA-1K Skyraider II is also a thing now but that seems aimed at special forces support. It's cute though.

Here it is firing missiles

So I've been told, then it miraculously survives. Seethe harder. 30 mm go BRRT and Mavericks go boom.
I will settle for the A-10 drones from COD Ghosts as a compromise.

Also related to NK. I've heard from multiple people that the NK SOF in Ukraine are very skilled and excellent marksman. A lot of reports of them running a tight operation and shooting down tons of drones. Russian and Ukrainian.

Yeah NK SF marksmanship has been noted as being quite good since the 1990s. The S. Koreans mentioned a N. Korean SF guy got a headshot on a S. Korean rappelling from a helicopter during the 1990s submarine incident.

Jesus that guy was shitting diamonds for the rest of the week.

The F4 is proof positive about the old adage that if you add enough thrust to anything it will eventually be able to fly. I love that retarded ass plane.

I didn't realize how big Phantoms were until I was standing next to one in person. Absolute unit. Same with the F-14. Absolutely gigantic.
