"You are not a carnivore through and through. You're a brainwashed herbivore."
:story::story::story:

I made a post a while back explaining why the "humans are herbivores" argument is bullshit and why it's harmful to the vegan movement. It's true that you really should eat more plant products than animal products, and modern humans consume too much meat, but to claim that meat is poison that hurts our bodies is so fucking stupid.

Also lol, I love how he ignored all of euser_name's points.

The vegan propaganda that humans are full-on herbivores and we were never "meant" to eat meat is so fucking stupid and blatantly false for a number of reasons.
  • Archeological evidence suggests that the very first tools invented were used as hunting weapons and/or used to butcher meat. By at least 500,000 years ago, early humans were making wooden spears and using them to kill large animals. If vegans want to use the ~natural~ argument, they probably shouldn't gloss over the fact that humans have hunting and eating meat for hundreds of thousands of years.
  • Going off on that, if humans couldn't digest meat, we wouldn't eat it. Our ancestors wouldn't have eaten it. We wouldn't have spent thousands of years hunting and domesticating animals to get their meat, because it would have been been a massive waste of time and effort.
  • I've also heard the argument that humans cannot possibly be carnivores or omnivores because we don't have huge canine teeth or claws. Guess what, we don't have those things because we don't need them. Our highly developed brains make those things obsolete because hunting weapons and traps are far more effective. Humans didn't evolve sharp teeth and claws because, again, we've been using hunting weapons for hundreds of thousands of years.
  • We have biting/tearing/ripping incisors and canines (like carnivores) and chewing molars (like herbivores). Animals with such diverse teeth tend to be omnivores.
  • Humans require vitamin B12 to thrive, which can only come from animal sources or certain bacteria (vegans must supplement their diet).
  • There's actually strong evidence that meat-eating was a critical part of our evolution. Meat packs a lot more calories and protein than plant-based foods. This made extra energy available to power our brains. Your brain is about 5% of your body weight, but about 25% of the energy (calories) you eat gets spent on running your brain.
Humans are omnivores. Period. Vegans need to stop spreading this bullshit nonsense that humans are natural herbivores if they want to be taken seriously. There's a valid argument that we've reached a point where we don't NEED to eat meat, even though we naturally would and obviously could; this is what sane vegans argue. But pretending that humans have been eating meat for hundreds of thousands of years for no real reason is fucking asinine and it makes me tune out whoever says it every time.
I'd love to see an artistic simulation of what humans might look like if we were actual herbivores. I don't think we'd look the same. We wouldn't have our canine teeth. Our skulls might be smaller like someone with microcephaly. And don't herbivores have more than one stomach? So our torso would be longer?

Our biology, along with other omnivorous and even herbivorous creatures, needs some kind of sufficient protein source. Even if it's from insects, there are nutrients that are just lacking in a completely herbaceous diet. Otherwise, the body is just not gonna survive well.

Not to mention that people's bodies are different, therefore forcing everyone to go vegan (regardless on if they do need a lot of nutrients from animal products due to family history, have eating disorders, live in poverty, etc.) isn't only idiotic, but also wrong and even dangerous.

BUT those dense, self-righteous cunts love to treat them like shit to the point of claiming they're "ignorants" about food, or EVEN falsely accusing them of self-diagnosing.

If you look at gorillas and monkeys that live on plants and fruits they still have canine teeth.
They also eat meat. In fact, a chimpanzee that finds a nice big grub in his leaf is going to eat the grub and spit out the leaf.

Goodall's observations are both fascinating and hilarious on this topic.

I find militant vegans as cringy as their edgelord counterparts who seek out these types just to fight them or trigger them with meat. All those for every cow you don't eat I'm gonna eat three. Weak minds will seek an ideology to morally feel elevated above the regular person, it doesn't matter if it's spiritualism, trannyism, veganism, or hedonism.

Check out the first part of this video to see a vegan sperging that the sauce he's eating contains cheese:

One wonders, does that make him a dairy mouth?

I saw the opposite at work for a change. Not obnoxious vegan getting kinda picked on by coworkers. It's not actually mean, rather it's just an easy way to crack jokes at lunch time, but it's probably pretty annoying for the guy. Since he's not bringing up his diet whenever he can, I'm actually interested when he actually does. I doubt I'll ever stop eating meat but listening to people telling you about their different habits rather than trying to school you is nice. Will the internet "activists" ever understand that all they have to do is stop being obnoxious?

I know a vegan like this too. He's a great guy, really the opposite of these obnoxious, right-on blowhards. He gets really annoyed by the militant ones too.

More flies with honey and all, but that's not vegan, is it? :p

Vegans in the UK were petitioning for "slaughterhouse images" to be mandatory on meat packaging. In almost 6 months they have only just reached a quarter of their 10,000 signature goal, surprising given the number of militant vegans in the UK.
Petition / News Article

People vegans actually wear shit like this, out in public....

Shirts like that are so trashy. Also, why is it that some militant vegans need to sexualize things? It’s just annoying.
