Or they'll say it's nothing in comparison to the holocaust that goes on every single day in slaughterhouses all over the world.

And halal isn't special. It just means a Muslim has to kill the animal, say a prayer, make sure it's facing Mecca and then cut it's throat. That's it. You're still killing the animal but instead of the Western method of crushing the brain first before cutting the throat, they just cut the throat.
It’s generally considered less humane, as they let the animal stagger around until it’s bled out, rather that the instant kill of crushing its brain.

Kosher is pretty similar. The captive-bolt gun currently used is probably marginally more humane, but the whole process is just not very nice. I don't think either method of slaughter is so vastly less humane that it should be prohibited. Most people calling for either to be prohibited seem a lot more concerned with hating the religion in question to the point they want to fuck with its adherents.

It does not take very long to bleed out when arteries in the neck are severed, even if it makes a lot more of a mess. At some point nearly immediately after death, you're going to have to drain the blood anyway.

Yeah, that's the part I don't get. Or is it more like along SJW lines which is because it's being done by Muslims who are poor, innocent victims of circumstance instead of white Christians who are responsible for every single evil done in the world.

Personally I'd rather the animal die quickly and before it really knows what happened. Peter Stormare as Czernobog in "American Gods" says it best.

You lose that much blood quickly and the body goes into shock and passes out rather quickly. The bolt gun delivers a killing blow much faster. Still I think it's the image of the blood spurting out that turns a lot of people off it. Remember, the Jews do the same thing.

Both methods of slaughter are more humane than the hideous conditions veal calves are kept in their entire lives.

When we get the deluge of apologist/distancing videos about vegan YouTube HQ shooter Nasim Aghdam?

There's a reason I don't eat veal if I have a choice in the matter. Same for lamb or any other baby animal.

Foie gras is another terrifying example. They take ducks that are about to be slaughtered and stuff them in boxes. They are then force fed grain to expand their liver, making it larger and fattier in the process. While the mortality rate is low, the ducks still suffer from lesions on the chest and heavy esophageal damage. Anyone who is compassionate towards animals should find this practice abhorrent.

My mom was a waitress for maybe 30 years. At one point I asked her about the customers she had to wait on in all these years. I asked her who were her meanest customers. She said they were vegans. Most of the vegan customers who she served would get really demanding and would start going all "I'm a vegan, I can't eat this" and would lecture her on the food when ordering. They used to send food back too.
I'm guessing this is shocking to nobody. All those years she used to work as a waitress and it's funny how they stood out the most. Just shows you how insufferable most of them are, really. If you think about it.

I caught the tail end of this damage control livestream Blaire did a few days ago. The guy she was speaking to repeatedly used the analogy of "well you agree killing a person and eating them is wrong, so why do it to an animal?" in total seriousness.

What vegans don't seem to understand that unless one is 100% self-sustainable, we all consume products that in one way or another have harmed people/animals/plants/the environment. Veganism is the easiest bandwagon to jump on to make them feel righteous. Yet I can bet you most of them buy clothes made in sweatshops.

Also, one could point out the inhumane housing and treatment of the migrants who harvested their food. It's intriguing that vegans aren't concerned with their welfare...

That's the old style of doing things. Now it's practically automated and the geese and ducks run free. Well as free as they can get in a barn. And the ducks and geese actually line up to get force fed. They don't have to work to eat. Tried to find a video on it but couldn't.

But here's the thing, Do you know how chickens are slaughtered? It's actually pretty graphic but it too is an automated system mostly. I saw a video once on it. Fascinating stuff but I can't find it but I did find this one from China which lets face it, some of our chicken products come from. It's a lot more manual than the other one I saw.

I know that the fatty liver thing can happen in the wild. Birds are morons who will happily stuff their faces if the food is available.

I waited tables in this small cafe in south Texas as my first job. All the cooks were Mexican women. We had these vegans from New York who asked dumb questions like "Is there pork in the beans?" Yes, yes there is because it's beans made by Mexicans. They explained they were vegans and I told one of the cooks who DRAINED all the oil from the fryer and put fresh oil in so there would be no animal tallow or anything. She went to their table and informed them of it just to be a good sport. Did all of this other retarded shit and they left me no tip.

Vegans are seriously the most insuffereable people to wait on.

I saw the opposite at work for a change. Not obnoxious vegan getting kinda picked on by coworkers. It's not actually mean, rather it's just an easy way to crack jokes at lunch time, but it's probably pretty annoying for the guy. Since he's not bringing up his diet whenever he can, I'm actually interested when he actually does. I doubt I'll ever stop eating meat but listening to people telling you about their different habits rather than trying to school you is nice. Will the internet "activists" ever understand that all they have to do is stop being obnoxious?

So, I joined a discord group for vegans on reddit, and it's as bad as you would expect. I mentioned I had a friend who went vegetarian for ethical reasons and another vegetarian who was raised as one. They hated the ethical one for not "going hard enough" and the raised one for "not being vege for a reason". They also said meat eaters were on the wrong side of history, and they want me to (and I'm quoting them) "convert" all of my friends. Also they seem to hate vegetarians in general, but they're considered "Allies insofar".

Here's a little internet trip I went on recently. I had a dumb question that I googled. Is apple pie vegan or could be made so easily? I thought, yeah just substitute margarine and shortening and you are good. Oh how wrong I was.

My answer was this.

https://www.marthastewart.com/1132917/vegan-apple-pie
It's a shit recipe but the interesting bit was in the comments.
This pie is not vegan. Sugars are not vegan as the process to make it use charred animal bones.
wut

Back to google.
https://www.peta.org/living/food/is-sugar-vegan/
Bone char—often referred to as natural carbon—is widely used by the sugar industry as a decolorizing filter, which allows the sugar cane to achieve a white color.
Oh fuck. Cane sugar isn't vegan.

But then a couple sentences later.
Beet and coconut sugar are never processed with bone char.

Then use molasses and the cheap non-cane white sugar to make your pie. Or better yet, cheap and plentiful corn syrup. VEGAN!

Don't even try googling the vegan-ness of HFCS. I got this. It is basically a retarded food purity test that is all over the road and has fuck all to do with animals.
