I remember once my former academic advisor (who is vegetarian, but not vegan) was talking to a vegan and they said that they can only eat what can consent and that animals can't consent. So she asked if humans can consent to getting eaten, and this person said that they can.
Kind of weird.

I love how they assume we bloodmouths have an aversion to vegetable products. In their mind everyone is either an all-plant eater or an all-animal eater.
But then they also think that salt is a vegetable product, so there's that.

Ever notice how most vegans/vegetarians by default are white people from first world countries? In most third world countries they can't go vegan cause they lack money or they don't sell those fat-free soy-free products...

They're cut from the same cloth as people who bang on about indigenous tribes being more in tune with nature and more humane etc etc. They're happy to overlook the fact that running a wild pig through a jungle for hours until it drops from exhaustion then stabbing it hundreds of times with pointed sticks is a brutal way to die as long as they can use it to prove some retarded point about how western "civilization" are the true brutes for using humane slaughter techniques.
Don't you just hate it when you see a good looking recipe or dinner idea online... Only to be disappointed its a vegan dish :/
This led to me being told by some vegan guy on FB that I need 'ethics' regarding my lack of humanity towards non-humans. I'm pretty sure its unethical to bait/switch someone by showing good looking food that turns out to be vegan shit.
probably has been adressed before but w/e I'm too lazy to read the entire thread:
my biggest beef with vegans seems to be about honey. vegans say that honey is animal abuse, because it requires the work of bees and because bees can't consent it's exploitation. (I mean you can still exploit people who can consent, like in sweatshops but ok...)
BUT 2/3 of all vegetables, grains and fruit we eat needs insects as pollinators aka veggie farmes still have to exploit poor bees or otherwise there would be no plant-food either. so going by vegan logic, veggies aren't vegan either, because their production still requires the exploitation of animals.
also once some vegan woman in her mid 30's told me, that bees wouldn't even produce honey naturally, beekepers have to cut off the head of the queen, mount it at the entrance of the hive, put the antennae of the head at a certain angle and spray it with special pheromones so the bees will produce honey....
like that's batshit insane, that's not how beekeeping works, not at all. how can these people believe such bullshit when they style themselves as critical overlords. not once did it cross those woman's mind that this story may be entirely fabricated by PETA for shock value
and yeah lies like those also piss me off about vegans big time. if their movement is so superior, why do they need to make up so many "alternative facts" and lies about any animal related industry?
another blatantly made up horror story vegans tell to recruit people under the cut for tldr reasons
vegans say that in factory farming the animals breed uncontrolled according to them it's especially common in pigs. the vegan-horror story goes on that all the female pigs are pregnant at all times and constantly produce babys who are born in filth and get trampled to death immediately or sometimes the piglets are even born on the trucks on their way to the slaughterhouse and because the piglets are so small the bars on the trucks aren't narrow enough to keep the piglets in, so they fall off the trucks and die.
what vegans don't know: male meat pigs all get castrated pretty early on, because testosterone makes meat taste like piss and would make the animals aggressive towards each other once puberty sets in, so make it harder to keep them in limited space. so even when pigs are kept in mixed groups, there's absolutely no way they could reproduce.
also pregnancy would reduce productivity, as the meat pigs would put all their growth into their offspring instead of growing fat themselves, so even if male pigs weren't castrated, farmers would still try to avoid pregnancy in their animals meant for meat production, for example by just keeping the sexes seperated.

I have no idea why vegans feel like they need to lie to make their point. There are already valid health, economics, and morality-based arguments for not eating meat (I mean, I don't buy into them, but they seem like they have some points), why would you poison your own well by making up cartoonish bullshit like this?
