I can't remember if I posted here but I saw a post about some guy who volunteered at a raptor rehabilitation center and felt bad that he feed wild birds mice because of specism or something.
Like what else are they going to eat? Tofu? Lentils? They're fucking birds of prey. The clue is in the name that they eat other animals.

Some militant vegan can't handle having a meat eating SO
To be fair I can understand where they're coming from. To these people veganism is more than just a diet choice. It's a philosophy and world view. It's like I would never get involved with a smoker, alcoholic or somebody who was emotionally needy and needed constant validation. But if they became this way during a relationship then... I could see us having troubles.

However this guy comes off like a fucking douchenozzle saying how, "I need them to be vegan". Sorry buddy but if your food choices mean more than the person you're with and that adopting your personal view that they shouldn't eat meat then guess what? You're an asshole. And most preachy vegans fall into this category.

Someone needs to take the word gaslight away from these kinds of people until they learn what it means.
It's become such a popular term that people just use it whenever faced with an uncomfortable truth. Gaslighting doesn't mean disagreements or telling you that you're wrong just like an "ad hominem" doesn't mean calling somebody an idiot. An ad hominem is when you use something personal about the person as a reason why they're wrong. Like, "well you wore white after Labor Day so because of that your views on the socioeconomics of minorities is null and void". Just like telling you why you're wrong and why you're an idiot for believing it is not the same as gaslighting.

Do Mandela effect believers just think the entire world is "gaslighting" them?
Yes. Or at least that's been my experience before I just stopped responding to them. One guy literally responded with, "Oh! Gaslighting! Nice!" when I said he was an idiot for thinking that just because he never saw a particular cartoon on TV growing up didn't mean it was just never broadcast in his area.

These people are idiots.

Too bad he didn't cover up the centipede tattoo while he was at it.
Yeah, it would have meant more ink on his already very inked up face.

Just the idea of big facial tattoos is retarded. Actually getting one is even more so. And getting one to cover up an existing tattoo is the icing on the retard cake.

Atheist youtuber and debater Cosmic Skeptic is receiving backlash from the vegan community (of which he can be said to be a part of) after he confirmed that he's switching back to a non-vegan diet because of his health issues, caused primarily by Irritable Bowel Syndrome / IBS. The vitriolic comments were in response to this community post on his channel:

He addresses the soyrage in this video:
All of this is despite him still believing and publicly affirming that veganism is still the most ethical food choice possible and that it is possible to be properly nourished on a vegan diet. So basically he's being burnt at the stake for caring about his health.

Congrats to a cow, able to self-reflect and not double-down.
Amazing behavior.
I have a niece that has been hypnotized into veganism from a boomer teacher. Now she complains about 'loose teeth'. At 16 years old!

Actual Gaslighting: My abusive mother has repeatedly lied to my face about severe abuse from years ago and played mind games with me to doubt it ever happened so she can continue to look like a poor, abused victim in front of the rest of the family and make me look "ungrateful and spoiled" for being enraged about the psychological damage done to me in my developmental years.

Reddit Gaslighting: You have a different experience than me because you lived a different life and saw different things on TV in your area? Well I never saw it, so you MUST be trying to make me think I'm crazy! I know you're "gaslighting" me! I'm using this term that people in child abuse communities use because you are LITERALLY trying to gaslight me!!1!

Like come on, this is childish, and not to mention smug. You want to throw around and misuse words like "gaslighting" because of a simple misunderstanding and not someone deliberately trying to play mind games with you over... a cartoon? Hm...

@Orange Rhymer I don't think he's a cow. He doesn't even show up on the radar and remember that both breadtube and right-tube is full of milk-tanker class cows. He's isn't obsessed with troll comments and he doesn't have a victim or savior complex unlike many in the politisphere. His only crime is being vegan, which isn't much because there are plenty of non-retarded vegans who live actual lives separated from their internet-spergy brothers.

@UnsufficentBoobage That's just gonna cause a major triggering and not much else. It'll just increase her victim complex about the establishment not wanting vegans to be vegans. I think she needs to realize for herself that eating meat is normal and the veganism is just another side of the coin that's still doing unethical stuff. All he can do is push her in the right direction.

Vegans are often comically ignorant about the animals they love so much and about nature in general, particularly when it comes to invertebrates. For instance, I often saw them ranting on reddit about how shellac, which is made from the wax secreted by female scale bugs, is horrible and unethical because harvesting it often kills the insects, seemingly unaware that female scale bugs are immobile and have an atrophied nervous system that probably doesn't provide them with any form of awareness. These morons think that every animal is as smart as an elephant.
At best, it's denial and at worst it's cruelty. The willful ignorance of groups like PETA on matters like animal breeding, service animals, and shearing and the little evidence/poor logic irks me. When any person gives actual evidence that contradicts their dogma, militant animal rights activists choose to remain in the dark because it's unsavoury and inconvenient to their agenda. If PETA had its ways they'd eradicate all human bonds with animals, including pet ownership and breeding, even if its ethical. No matter how illogical or asinine it would be, it won't happen ever. Humans and animals are too intertwined anyway.

When PETA accused sheep herders of abusing their sheep by shearing wool, they didn't take into account that the process is very harmless and that sheep need their wool trimmed or otherwise it overgrows and will blind them. Their response? They stuck their fingers in their ears and claimed it was still "abuse". While I understand the adopt and don't shop policy of PETA, breeding animals isn't just for vanity. Breeds like German Shepherds used for police and sheepdogs have functional real life uses in the real world to help humans. Service dogs enjoy working with humans. People like some dogs that have useful purposes as pets too. Just look at Samoyeds. They were sled dogs but now people see them as loveable family pooches. Dogs don't function like humans when it comes to doing work and service dogs go through rigorous training and certifications for the trainer to make sure they are well treated and competent enough. By the way, PETA's founder Ingrid Newkirk has been reported to have stolen a service dog from it's owner, which isn't just cruel to the blind person, but to the dog who enjoys its job. But what do you expect from a sham that openly advocated for cats to be put on a vegan diet?! :story: Why not have some of the shelter dogs be put into use as service animals? Oh yeah, they kill most of their dogs at the PETA shelters.

Many years ago I joined a vegan forum with the purpose of trolling, but they banned me before I could pull any pranks.

I merely posted a verifiable fact, and they banned me for that.

Someone advocated for liberating all farm animals into the wild, so they could live in freedom.
I mentioned that a lot of farm animals are so domesticated, they would easily fall prey to predators like wolves. Some would even suffer from the lack of human attention, like sheep with overgrown wool.

I was banned for that post.

Groups like PETA arguing that service dogs are poorly treated is just baffling. Service animals are pretty much given the royal treatment. They go wherever their owner goes. Service dogs get showered with treats when they do their job right, they are allowed pretty much everywhere (with some logistical exceptions, like places where a dog would be a health concern), and they aren't even always working. Believe it or not, service dogs are given free time to just be dogs. They aren't pets, but they aren't treated like automatons.

Also they get to wear snazzy vests.

It's even worse than that, some farm animals (especially the hardier, older landraces) can not only survive away from humans but also become pests that breed uncontrollably. Pigs and boars in particular are a fucking menace: they destroy every ecosystem they touch by wallowing and eating anything and everything, that's why I consider vegans who oppose culling and controlled hunting to be particularly stupid.
