Miitopia Switch Version - Pretty fun rpg-lite with one hell of a character creator

I actually really enjoyed the 3DS version of this game. It wasn’t anything too complicated and there was a bit of dumb fun in recasting every single character in the game as literally anyone you wanted if you could make a Mii of them. Obviously this was a little bit lacking given the small creation pool for Miis.
Switch has changed that up big time with adding makeup and wigs. And while that doesn’t sound very impressive, it’s the freedom said make and wigs allow that make for some truly impressive character creator options. Just take a look.

Miitopia has always struck me as a game designed for streamers to giggle over. Looks like they're leaning into it.

I doubt I'll play it but I'll enjoy watching Vinny make sillies out of it.

And there was another game like this. It was called Tomodachi Life I think. That shit was completely absurdist and fun.

Considering you can apparently dump hours into the creator alone, you can always get the demo and just spend time making characters until you can afford the game again. Progress probably cares over like it did in the 3DS demo.

The original was rather prophetic, don't you think?

I found the original release to be too repetitive, with its main 'gimmick' being the wacky faces from other gamers around the world. Apart from that? No real draw.

I've downloaded the demo and finished it in two sittings. I've made my OCs and a couple IP characters. I'll just be improving their looks until the game comes out. I found a place that has the physical version quite cheap.

And Tomodachi Life is the stuff, I bloody love that game!
