This means that Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, and a bunch more are now under Microsoft ownership. No idea what this means going forward in terms of platform exclusivity, but this is still kind of massive news.

That being said, you know Sony is going to have to respond somehow, and they don't put their games on PC as often. I have a feeling this is going to end with Sony buying either Square Enix or SEGA and both would really suck sadly.
 
With the exception of Eternal Bethesda has been really shitty for the last few years so new management is probably a good thing.

I'll miss playing the base Elder Scrolls 6 on the ps5 for the vanilla run.

But as long as it still hits the PC for mod runs and tweaks, I'll be fine.

Kinda wondering if Fallout Online was a bigger disaster than originally thought. Seems really odd to sell themselves off right now.

Edit: I'd love Sony's response to be releasing all their remaining exclusives to PC.

The owners have apparently been looking to sell for a long time, they're old as fuck and just want to not deal with that shit anymore.

Microsoft is the reason Morrowind had as much jank as it did, since after bailing Bethesda out they got them to port it to the original Xbox.
In fact, all early Bethesda titles for the Xbox were fucked by that move, see Dark Corners of the Earth.
 
I am trying to figure out if this is good or bad; On one hand Bethesda has been going downhill and Microsoft is definitely better when you consider the alternatives are entities like Activision and EA, but on the other hand it would only take a few critically retarded corporate decisions to finish off Bethesda.
