Any chance we can assemble a kiwi recommendation list for McMillen to include next? Imagine Fatrick's whiny meows next to Kevin Gibes' "womanly" meows.

Ive seen it, he said "Isaac is Isaac but could be gender fluid" although the game says "son" so isaac is definitely male. The closest boi gets to pozzed is the dancing ghost boss in the blue water room (forgot its name, dross alternative) who's canonically gay. Also I don't believe the all characters are just isaac rping tbh, even if Edmund says, it's just a load of shite.

It's just edmunds art style. Granted he's removed some of the anti aliasing and detail from the previous games but it still looks good. People have waited literal years for this game, longer than silksong and considering it's of such good quality, it's not going away. Granted I'm starting to slowly sour on its rng 5 hours in, but I'm still gonna play it to kingdom come.

I've been enjoying it. So far the breeding isn't that useful, but I haven't gotten that far. For the classes, I'd say:
  • Cleric has been a must-have for me. Not even sure how you'd do some of the longer expeditions without him, though I guess you could breed down the skills. Damage skills seem a bit gimmicky though.
  • Wizard I'm sure can be good, but so far has felt like a worse hunter to me. Might need bred skills.
  • I like Tank but I'm not sure how much tanking he actually does. Repositioning is nice though.
  • Warrior and Hunter are good DPS. Hunter can get some great skills, Warrior is more generic but gets the job done.
  • Thief is nice, great skills. More of a "metaprogression" class if you need money.
  • Necro I just got, sounds cool but gimmicky. Things with corpses sound great for regular fights but horrid for bosses, which is quite a downside. EDIT: Absurd amount of summons if you get the heal = leech trait. Combine with tank's bodyguard and you get so many attacks. So the corpses still seem gimmicky, but can be strong.
Speaking of bosses, most haven't been too bad. I am curious with the graveyard boss, could you get into a situation where you can't win? Seems like you need indirect damage/summons or things could go real poor.

You can’t 1 shot it. Each time you beat an area for the first time you have to go back to your home. You have to give cats to the NPCs so they can give you classes, upgrades so you can make better cats and etc etc,

Edit: You can apparently get a Sonichu cat in the intro.

I had a cat that got cancer and then became a mutant with almost all of its stats in negative, it survived the entire run, and now I have a genetic epidemic in my house 10/10 game

So Tank can get a taunt skill that is incredibly useful, as well as a skill that makes it so he takes reduced damage. I forget the number but it's something crazy like 80 percent

You also can get a lot of thorn and armor generation on them as well. So if you build a cat to have taunt and damage reduction he can be pretty beefy

This is basically isaac, like I mentioned earlier this game adopts most of isaacs mechanics and progression with tactics based combat and some minor aesthetic changes.

The fun in isaac comes from collecting the marks, experimenting with the items and finding different builds. You can finish an isaac run in less than 10 minutes if you're good enough, once you progress around 15 hours but that's not the point of the game. Same with this.

Could have sworn Rick Hunter was in the game. Been loving the game so far, really scratches that "oh but what if I do this" part of my brain. My only complaint is that figher really needs a buff. When even my healer can do more damage than him because he can actually get places, theres something wrong
