He's mentioned that he has enough ideas for two whole expansions. I'm not saying this is going to be like TBoI but this game has a long future ahead.

I got a cat bred to have the Hunter-only skill of spawning a pooter.

Made him a mage, he gets Copy Cat (all cats can cast the spell he last casted).

Within round 2 I have a bug army of 3 or 4. Round 3 and I have the place swarmed. Pooters focus bombs so the rat guy is a non-problem.

Also Cleric has the hands-down best spells. The range on Cleanse is insane and the fact it removes debuffs from other cat's spells means you can use whatever you want with no debuffs whatsoever.

Edmund seems to exist in permanent 2010. Tink is an obvious gay joke, he included idubbbz AND H3, and the ? gender I just take to mean the cat is a fucking abomination not that it's "non-binary". He really doesn't seem to give a shit about the woke/anti-woke thing and bless him for it.

The only thing that MAY be a gay culture war thing is that Tracy doesn't appear to have the feminist pin anymore that she had at PAX 2014. Probably to keep angry feminist game journalists from shitting on the game.

So if I put two of my cats up in the attic will their kitten get class skills that their parents learned on adventure?

I'm still struggling to fully understand the breeding system but so far im doing okay just bringing cats with decent stats and filling the rest up from there, but that may change (just did the Junkyard and Caves first clear)

If the concept interests you it’s worth playing and I’m comfortable throwing Steakmund 30 bones for it.

It is just so insanely well polished and seeing a fun combo come together is so very rewarding.

I find I put mid-ass cats together I get a mid-ass kitten. However, I also find I get two great cats and get a mid-ass kitten. But I know it's a huge game so I figure it's a slow grind and there's probably a bunch of mechanics I haven't figured out and unlocks I haven't gotten yet.

It's not so much the birth stats as it is the traits and inherited spells in the early-mid game, it seems. The collars make the base stats a little rendundant - if you go on a big adventure of 2-3 levels then the levelling up you do will give your cats the high stats you want for niche cat builds.

Don't forget - you don't need to send 4 cats for a journey. If you send less, that means each cat gets more chances to level up and get even stronger. I feel you could solo The Alley with a tank cat and end up with something broken as shit (if you manage not to die)
 
Holy fucking shit, I remember reading about this game in Game Informer aeons ago and googling it every other week for like two years to see if it was out yet. I eventually gave up hope, but never really stopped thinking about it... and now I find out from the goddamned Anisa & I thread of all things that IT'S ACTUALLY OUT NOW??? Seems like it had a helluva time clawing its way out of development hell, but not gonna lie, all the positive reception has me hyped to try it out after I get off work.

That's what I was looking for at first and almost nothing was moving over. I think I was just having a run of shit luck though. I've been running 2-3 cat teams now trying to speed level them.
 
Would turning a room into a fight pit of horrors be a viable way to build Darwinian supercats?
I mean if player can get an extra room, I still only got attic unlocked.

I think there's an Edmund tweet out there where he's playing along with someone asking if Isaac is trans because he wears a wig. He something stupid like the character is gender-fluid.

Considering how well the game is selling, I think he should laugh at the critics.

He is quite right to mock people who are confused and offended at meows from folks who have different political ideologies than they hold. Such whiney retards deserve be called out, not silence.
