Bluepoint is supposedly remaking Metal Gear Solid. So it would be a bit before we would get the PSP games. It'd be cool if they remade Portable Ops and Peace Walker in the FOX engine.

You can tell Kojima had absolutely no interest in PO since he discarded all of those characters before Peace Walker.Portable Ops is the only "canon" entry I haven't played at all, I remain curious about it due to the return of characters like Paramedic as well as a young Campbell.
And yet the irony is PO had an influence on the series that lasted all the way to The Phantom Pain, it was the game that started the whole idea of Big Boss recruiting NPCs.You can tell Kojima had absolutely no interest in PO since he discarded all of those characters before Peace Walker.
The game is very derivative. Everyone is from a previous game or, in the case of Gene, a pale copy of MSX Big Boss. Each thrown in the mix with no rhyme or reason. Even the recruitment system sucked; which is why the Fulton was such a godsend.
I still have my old PSP but the battery got fucked up and I think the screen had some dead pixels, if I played it I'd probably emulate it but it's a question of whether I care enough.Young Poonhound Campbell > Poonhound Bisexual Miller
Sokolov showing up for 5 minutes > Otacon Clone
Also whatever happened to Amanda, Chico and that French Woman in MGS V? Kojima couldn't stop just discarding characters the further he went.
The fact the game is derivative is why it's not such a fucking mess compared to every other post MGS3 game Kojima has made tbqh. That being said, it's not something I think you'd enjoy Dom. Storyline is very light, it's a very gameplay focused game and the gameplay in Peace Walker outside grindy boss fights is much better. I mean play it if you can get the chance but I wouldn't go out and find a PSP just to play it.
This is the one time I'll give him credit for improving on an idea. There is a skeleton of a game in PO.And yet the irony is PO had an influence on the series that lasted all the way to The Phantom Pain, it was the game that started the whole idea of Big Boss recruiting NPCs.
Chico was killed when the rocket hit the helicopter and Amanda is alive but is an abandoned character. Also whatever happened to Amanda, Chico and that French Woman in MGS V? Kojima couldn't stop just discarding characters the further he went.

Chico was killed in Ground Zeroes.Chico was killed when the rocket hit the helicopter and Amanda is alive but is an abandoned character.
Amanda gets mentioned in MGSV.Chico was killed in Ground Zeroes.
Amanda and Cécile are not seen again in the franchise.
That's because she was chosen by god himself. no, seriously it's a cutscene on Peace WalkerAmanda gets mentioned in MGSV.
Cécile fucked off back home before the inspection. Since she didn't get betrayed or vagina bombed or set on fire or cloned or browbeaten by an AI girlfriend or anything, I think Cécile might be the winner of the entire franchise.
Kaz missinterpreted Kojima for Konami. That's because she was chosen by god himself. no, seriously it's a cutscene on Peace Walker

The japanese version is even more insane.
One thing I disliked about MGS4 was that it wasn't very funny. It had its moments like at the end but my overall memory of it is that it wasn't very funny and I always appreciated the silly humor.https://youtube.com/watch?v=PqS18aj6Vishttps://youtube.com/watch?v=_Rk6eIwIA5UNot sure those were entirely necessary things to know, or even desirable. Humorous, enjoyable, and campy, and entirely in line with the weird Cold Wars pulp theme the game has, but really, that's the infamous Big Boss, evil genius and mercenary mastermind?

An important element is that warmth of camaraderie. The Tanker mission ticked all those boxes, too.One thing I disliked about MGS4 was that it wasn't very funny.
You think the average kojima fanboy has played peace walker, you're giving them way too much credit.Remember that people complained that MGS V still didn't show us "Big Boss becoming the villain" despite the fact that this entire fucking speech was the ending to Peace Walker.

Yeah, people are fucking retarded.
Probably honored. How do you think Kojima feels about the newest Bond ripping of Foxdie with Nanomachines?
Kojima was ripping off Escape from New York's injection of "microexplosives," so it's full circle. How do you think Kojima feels about the newest Bond ripping of Foxdie with Nanomachines?

My dude, you are preaching to the choir. From elsewhere on this board:Les Efants Terribles was ripped off from the world renowned Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Twins.
I need to watch that again; from what I remember, this sounds really plausible.
Speaking of now-obscure 1980s movie references, though:

No kidding.
I was chasing childhood memories via home video a few years ago, and it'd have to be a huge coincidence how much
from Twins just went straight into MGS1.
- clone angst
- completely plausible and well-researched explanations of genetics and biology
1988, don't know how well the movie did in Japan, but you cannot dissuade me from my theory.
