It was more than just Konami. Tomokazu Fukushima was the writer for most of the dialogue from MGS to MGS3. Kojima had a lot of tard wranglers. Did you know David Hayter had to re-audition for both MGS3 and MGS4? Konami is probably the reason he was kept for so long. MGS4 is when he got a little looser than he should've been, and MGSV was just him kicking and screaming while doing whatever he wanted (siphoning money to PT without permission). I don't like Konami, but Kojima js equally up his own ass. He's just the Konami George Lucas. Great when he has tard wranglers, and way too "ambitious" when no one tells him no.

takoyaki futanari is the dumbest bullshit theory people ever came up with there's litteraly zero fucking sources for any of this bullshit just niggas looking through credits of the game and making it up a story tomokazu wrote some codec calls and fucking snake tales that's it "GUYS KOJIMA IS A HACK HE STOLE TOMKAZU'S TALENT AND PASSED IT OF AS HIS OWN THAT'S WHY MGS 4 SUCKS" despite the fact that TOMOKAZU WORKED ON MGS4 BUT LEFT KONAMI MID DEV AND WASN'T CREDITED

If anything that makes MGS4 a bigger tragedy. The 2005 E3 trailer had a hotter Meryl and Snake not being old as shit. I personally don't think Tomkazu is perfect, I still have some problems with MGS3's story but MGS4 is a terrible end to this series, not to mention the issues of cutscenes being a vast majority of play time instead of actual gameplay.
Oh sweet baby Jesus, the Tomokazu Fukushima nonsense again...

I've heard plenty of people repeat that online without a shred of evidence ever being presented. I'm gonna assume it's bullshit until proven otherwise.
This post has a translation of an interview with Tomokazu Fukushima regarding his role on Kojima's projects:
Just because Kojima huffed too many of his own farts in recent years, doesn't mean we should make up a conspiracy theory about how he was never the real talent behind Metal Gear. It's the same shit people started saying about George Lucas after the Star Wars prequels, and it's just as disingenuous.

BRO KOJIMA HIRED A FUCKING YAKUZA ASSASSIN TO KILL TERIYAKI FUKUZAKI SO NO ONE WOULD EVER FIND OUT THE TRUTH OF WHO WROTE MGS 1-3

From the tumblr post:
How was the work divided between you two?

“While there were some parts that were edited by the both of us, but if I’ll be bold to say it, all the real-time cutscenes were written primarily by Mr. Kojima, as well as all the mandatory CODEC calls. I was assigned to writing all the optional CODEC. We ended up creating around 2,500 files.”

Ok, the cutscenes are the part I hated the most in MGS games. They go on for too long at times and get long winded. Especially in MGS2. For example there is a scene on the tanker where the Russians hijack the bridge of the tanker and Snake is attempting to identify them and gets the helicopter down to the exact model number to distinguish it from a civilian version. This isn't good writing, this is Kojima trying to show off or being extremely autistic and it only got progressively worse with 3 and 4.

The only MGS games that had cutscenes under control were two PSP games because you can't cram all those files on to a small storage medium.

What kind of faggot plays a game series known for long cutscenes then says they hate the long cutscenes? Nigger do you skip all the platforming bits in a Mario game so you can play with menus? Just play something else faggot.

I recently finished another Big Boss run on MGS4; it must be my 5th or 6th by now. I never had the itch with the others but 4 really has THAT gameplay that I really like messing with for speedrun purposes. Sometimes I just get on it and do a No Kills, sometimes its a "all kills" run. I feel 4 really nailed its gameplay. Shoutout Raging Raven
There's so much from 4 that I love. The story may not be the best but the gameplay is still solid to this day. & even after all these years it still looks amazing.

Really looking forward tp the work that'll come out from this leak & hope more leak as well.

i'll defend the first and second games because their kind of meandering and ethereal tone is kind of part of the whole gestalt, but it really fucking falls apart in MGS3. it's trying to be more like a normal spy thriller but just being in the fucking jungle doesn't exactly give the game enough structure to do anything beyond people screaming at each other and none of the rogue's gallery in mgs3 is interesting enough to carry a game. on top of that the whole shagohod thing is kind of just retarded in general after having the second game essentially fake out having a metal gear in the first place

i remember when it came out people said mgs3 was the best one and i honestly just think that was because they were just repeating what the journalists were saying at the time. in hindsight the whole game is just jam packed full of cold war fanservice that would have been extremely popular during the boomer sunset years of 2004 but literally does not hold any cultural weight anymore, and it's kind of just worse off for it in every way because of it.

I replayed it recently and it still holds up, doesn't even need a remake but it's so good it got one regardless. Maybe your taste is just shit, bro.

"You mean you want to play a game for its gameplay and are complaining because the gameplay is shortened in favor for long cutscenes that take up half the playtime? That's fucking stupid."

I want to play stealth espionage action, not Life is Strange: La Li Lu Le Lo.

Cutscenes to gameplay ratio.

Nigga there's 5 hours of cutscenes + cassette tapes in peace walker which is around a 20 hour game they're in a stylized comic style to fit them on the psp did you play the games bro because i think you're just saying random bullshit to be a contrarian about Kojima

you might be retarded too like it's a known trope that people who have familiarity with helicopters/flying vehicles can tell them apart by the sound of the blades spinning and it's a quick visual shorthand to show how experienced snake is I think everyone but you understands it very well and if I have to explain why he didn't expect a civilian version I will be very disappointed

Getting down to that level of detail is overly pedantic and bad writing for something that is supposed be stealth action. He could of made his point Snake being an experienced solider by just have him identify the helicopter by sound and silhouette and move on but not need go about the difference between civilian and military, an armed force has just taken over the ship and jeopardized his planned mission, should he really waste time talking about the differences?

Why can't a rogue military force use the civilian version? It's probably easier to acquire export models in North America instead of shipping over military for a single operation. Why can't a terrorist group use a military version of a helicopter when the Russian Federation is a corrupt country and its possible they sold military hardware to paramilitaries. Does the player need to sit there and listen to it when the game's story is now having rising action trying to engage them?

Kojima has done this constantly with MGS2, 3 and 4 where he needs to bring up these little details that don't really matter for the rest of the story and why they should of been cut out. It kills the pacing of a cutscene. It adds time when doesn't need to be there. Concerning extra tapes and codecs, a lot of those are optional, you don't have to listen or call them to get time added to the game. That's probably a better way to exposition the story because if the player cares enough then they will do it. I don't care if it's stylized comic scene I care that they mercifully short in run time. Yes, I played part of the HD version for the PS3.

I enjoy the gameplay for the most part of MGS games, I just can't stand the interruptions or in the case of MSG4, the decision to make the actual gameplay shorter than 3 and fill up the Blu-Ray disc with cutscenes. Which is why I come across as frustrated with MGS4 because in my opinion the gameplay was the best of the series and I wanted more. In Acts 3 and 5, the cutscenes are longer than the gameplay itself.
