Did they not post it on jewtube?

Oh shit wait, I see the problem now, I had linked to the second tweet in the chain, and yeah without an account the first one won't show up. This one will work.

You can also look at the rest of the videos even without an account by using the alternate Twitter URL Nitter. https://nitter.net/MGSMGN/media
Got it, thanks.

The jap is kindov a putz, but seeing everything in action in one go makes me much more comfortable. I'll probably get it because of those graphics, the characters still look pretty anime which I like, and the mods are probably gonna be on point. The crouch walk is a game changer, most of my problems with the original MGS3 boiled down to those annoying stance controls and 1st person aiming. 70$ is still highway robbery in this economy, but I can cope that away by thinking about the mods and sticking it to hollywood Kojima. This will be the first and only game I buy this year, and hopefully we get other remakes like it because unlike SH2 demake, it seems like Konami actually put in the work to remain faithful to the original while putting in some QoL.

I regretfully admit I've put my faith behind this one and preordered it like a niggercattle because I had some money already sitting in my Steam wallet. Worst case scenario if it actually sucks dick I can just refund it within the 2-week, 2hr-gameplay cutoff window. Best case scenario it's unironically great and I get my full money's worth, and in that case I'd also hope it sells well to signal to Konami that there's people who want more Metal Gear even without Kojimbo. I want a competent MSX MG1&2 reimagining...

Yeah I would want 3D MG as well. Plus those games are much more reserved, so it's not like they have to "quirk them up" to try and play pretend as Kojima. If anything they can expand on lore details, fully voice/interpret the codecs, improve the boss fights, and just go all out transitioning the 2D levels into 3D. I think doing that might be easier than some people think. Plus David Hayter can finally come back to voice a young Snake. AND we'll get to see McDonnell Miller before Liquid strangles him to death with his "never be game over" jacket.

If the MSX reimagining pipedream ever comes true I wonder how they'll handle voicing the two Big Bosses. Would Venom be voiced by Kiefer again? And would the real BB be Hayter at the same time as him also doing young Solid's, or would they have him voiced by Richard Doyle again like in MGS4? Interesting to ponder. I know a lot of people wished Hayter had voiced the real BB when he was talking to Venom in the end cutscenes of MGSV.

Don't.

Venom Snake is the dumbest thing Kojima ever cooked up and they need to ignore it completely. Even if Kojima fags want to bitch, for all intents and purposes in the lore Venom *is* Big Boss so it should still be ignored.

I remember in an interview not long ago he was able to do the MGS1 Snake and not that ridiculous gravel shit he did in PW.

I'm pretty excited for Delta, and it's weird looking forward to a game given the state of things. I got it paid for already on Steam so I can play it at midnight on Monday.

I always thought David Hayter did a great job on all the Snakes. I never understood the hate he got for it, the gravel he added to Big Boss especially as he got older made sense to me and never distracted me. If anything it made each phase of Snake and Big Boss's life distinct without sounding to wildly different.

But then suddenly I would see people online saying David Hayter couldn't act or do the original Snake voice anymore. Like the dude at conventions would slip into each version of Snake flawlessly at fan requests and seemed to understand the exact game and line people wanted to hear.

Kojima may have been an over rated hack, but the voice over director and David Hayter were always top notch to me. But I'm a nostalgic old fag so take that with a grain of salt.

I don't remember where I got this from, I think it was a YouTube video, but I heard an idea once that was something along the lines of 'Venom in an MG1 remake should be indistinguishable from the real BB, and during the bossbattle he should be wearing the beret to cover the shrapnel horn. Then once Solid beats him, the beret is blown off by an explosion or something and you see the shrapnel horn on his corpse/body in a cutscene or something of the sort. New players will just think it's fresh from debris hitting him during the battle, and people who know the twist will understand the nod.'

Something like this I think could be a happy medium, would still work if they had them both still sound the same.

e: Okay yeah, it was a YouTube video. Timestamped

I mean, I could easily live with that. I just don't want there to be some weird revelation to Snake and the world that Venom Snake exists but is then never talked about (considering Kojima Cultists whole thing is Venom needed to exist to explain why an 8 bit sprite explodes lmfao)

But no matter what, they absolutely *should* sound the same. Kiefer voicing Snake in MGS V wasn't because he was playing someone else, it's because Kojima just wanted Hollywood talent in his game. If they were meant to be different, than Big Boss would have a different voice.

Every reddit faggot is out in force in every comment section with the A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME hivemind bullshit. They all feel obliged to suck that gooks cock whenever possible.

Death Stranding 2's failure was swept under the rug quickly.
This is the first time I've thought about the existence of DS2 since the first trailer dropped how many months ago, it looks like it was really a fart in the wind.

This is 20 full minutes of real gameplay from a Japanese streamer. I was going to try and upload the footage here on KF but the filesize is too big and since it's just videogame autism I don't feel a particular need to fiddle around to 'archive' it.

This Twitter account also has several other 10+ minute long clips of the cutscenes shown in full during this stream, if you want to see those they're there.

e: About 40 minutes into this stream, this guy's looking at all the new footage from this, if you want English commentary.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=OPXFwGetMhg
This guy edited down his stream into a digestible video which I will share here because it is interesting:

Of particular note:
  • At the start of the game, the "I like MGS[Blank]!" options go all the way to 5, and in the corner, it actually tells you the camos that you get from picking.

  • Difficulty select now tells you the highest rank you can get on each, I.E. Normal shows Doberman, Extreme shows FOXHOUND. It also shows the health differences. On a similar note, there appears to also be menu pages in-game for tracking things like animals/consumables caught and ate.

  • He translates the descriptions of the various camouflages that the guy playing scrolls through in the menu. The Peace Walker battle dress & Sneaking Suit appear to have some particularly busted stats, and those are included in what you get and can immediately use with the pre-order DLC, so potentially pay to win (he quips about this in the stream, but the cut down version omits it). PW Battle Dress "greatly reduces all damage and increases natural life recovery rate, but movement speed decreases" and PW Sneaking Suit "reduces footstep noise when moving and also improves the natural recovery rate of life."

  • There is a huge amount of bullet-drop. Way more than in Ground Zeroes or TPP. This is demonstrated throughout.
I believe the review embargo for the game is also about to be lifted soon, IIRC 12:01am PST of August 22nd. That would be... five hours from now?

Last I checked it only broke a million sales. The game easily cost 200 million in total with marketing and it's only made a quarter of that. When will it be enough that he's finally recognized as not making games that sell? Even the MGS series never broke records worth talking about since Sons of Liberty.

Embargo has lifted. I will try to edit this post to add interesting things I find.
Going off the impressions of the journoscum, it seems the game should hopefully not be a complete dumpsterfire.

They will somehow ruin it, I don't trust them after Survive.
BTW, I would rather have Survive 2. Big twist, I know, however that game was only half-finished but showed promise, what it needed was more development time or a sequel. We don't need a remake of a game that is already feature complete and perfect in pretty much every way. No, muh graphics is not an argument, game still looks fine, sometimes downright gorgeous for a PS2 era game.
Still, if you guys will have fun, I won't judge.

See that's what I mean when I say highway robbery. Let us all be brutally honest about what "early access" actually means...

Pay Us More Money Now, Or You Get The Game LATE Mother Fuckers. Without any hyperbole, that's what that shit means.

Well to be fair paying a little more gets you DLC skins so it would be more or less retail anyway.

Nice try Konami, but you should know your place
winner.webp
I knew people were getting hyped over nothing. "Outer Worlds is the peanut butter and chocolate of the RPG world"
What does that make Delta, the peanut butter and licorice?
That's what these hacks get for firing Kojima, if he was still there it would be a solid 9.5/10 if not an outright 10/10!
