God, I fucking forgot how Solidus is a down-right badass when fighting against the RAYs.
Also I stumbled back on Love Deterrence. Big Boss looking at the MSF troops fighting while Paz sings is so funny.
This song slaps, but I'd like to know what y'all think about Peace Walker. Just Peace Walker, ignore the fact that it continues into MGS Ground Zeroes and then The Phantom Pain.

If this series took into account what characters do in cutscenes, Solidus would clap the cheeks of everyone in the whole series 1v1. That is, if you don't count MGRR.

Time to shit on the Master Collection Vol. 1 some more with these gorgeous user made HD texture packs.
Also, I think the ending song to Metal Gear Solid 2 is one of the most bittersweet and gorgeous songs ever put in vidya.

He wants to be noticed by the higher-ups Hollywood and given full creative control of a movie so bad, despite him speaking predominantly (only) Japanese, and every celeb wants pictures with him in order to look trendy and hip.
Also every fucking time I see a Metal Gear meme nowadays it is either Metal Gear Solid V related or has the Duran Duran song - which to be honest is kind of funny how it gave most people a Mandela effect whether it was in the game or not - or both. Then I hurt myself by reading the comments of people not knowing that MGS has other games and that they look "too old". Fucking zoomers man.

I wouldn't know. Nor that I care, to be honest. Mostly the dialogue fonts and other stuff is upscaled, combine it with the upscale to 1080p through PCSX2 and it's miles better than whatever Konami tried to sell with the Master Collection.

For however many extras and easter eggs are in MGSV, I guarantee MGS3 or 2 has way more. For all the graphical fidelity out there, true creative detail has been going away in video games for a decade+. The MGS2 ice cubes melting gets me every time.
Everyone criticizes Kojima and pretends like the cultural zeitgeist is the other way around as if they're somehow breaking the mold. This isn't a new thing either it's been going on for like 15 years and I never see anyone praising his work ever so I don't get how people like you say things this stupid in good faith.

I would really love for a remaster of the NES versions of Metal Gear Solid. I never understood why they never bothered. It would be a money maker. Although, they would have to recon a lot of stuff.

Yup. When I call him a hack, that doesn't mean he never did anything good. Hack means someone who used to be good, or have some good ideas, and now eats shit.
I would trade all of DS/MGSV's pseudo-poetic nonsense/melodrama cutscenes for just one codec call about a random gun from MGS2.
