Delta definitely got the face to echo Murder Grandpa Ocelot from 1/2/4 better, but at the cost of making his age less obvious.

Putting Elderly Ocelot cartilage on a teenage face looks off; that plus coloration makes him look like The Fear's kid instead.
Oh boy, we're going to have another Dead Rising demake situation, aren't we?

Jodi Benson (voice actor of Ariel in The Little Mermaid) has been revealed as voicing Eva under the pseudonym Suzetta Minet in MGS3 and MGS;PW. She was apparently unidentified for 20 years until today as part of marketing for the upcoming remake.

People had actually been speculating this for a long while, nice to see it actually confirmed with a neat video event thing.

Why are we expecting fuckonami to do right by the customers? Sh2 remake? That just so happened to include team silent members. There's nothing redeemable in delta, kojima for all his faults had a good team who were technical wizards, capable of packing detail in ps2 and juicing the fox engine to max capacity. Mgsv is still one of the most technically impressive games ever, at 21 gb it's a masterpiece even, considering rockstar slop going upwards of 60 despite having barely half the detail and ai. Fuckonami is going to make delta 70 gb and it's going to have less detail than the PS2 version, it's going to happen, just rip the bandaid off and stop anticipating it. Just have fun trolling the defenders on twitter when delta comes out.

I don't have faith in the MGS3 remake. To me it seems like a blatant cash grab.

I think the modern gameplay changes are going to highlight how bare MGS3 is.
You can run through the game in 2 hours.

I think this remake will be received poorly, the people who wanted a one-to-one remake will be happy but new players will find the lack of content disappointing on a 2nd playthrough.

But, take all that with a grain of salt, I’ve played through the game probably 50+ times since the initial release.

Say what you want about the FF7 remakes, but that sort of ambition for MGS would have me way more invested in the series future.

I've been replaying the series on emulators.

MGS1 is still so fucking good to this day. I have imprinted in my DNA Gray Fox's death scene and the boss fight against REX, my father played that fight so many times that it's one of my first ever memories. I think I was 5 or 6 at the time when he played the game in the late 90s.

MGS2 is the step-up. The Tanker episode is awesome, and Big Shell is one of my favourite game settings, one that MGS5, with the Mother Base, couldn't bring back to the same level. I'm going to Shell 2 at the moment.

The benefits of emulation, quick save and quick load, makes replaying the games quite a breeze. I'm also replaying them on Easy for the first replay, but I have plans to redo them all at the higher difficulties as a challenge.

I was hesitant at first about the Master Collection, then refrained from buying it after I saw how poorly ported the games were. To comparison, two screenshots from MGS2 Substance on PCSX2 with the HD texture pack on and off.

MGS2 may have even more hidden little details and easter eggs than 3. It's telling for the time, how they really tried to squeeze the most out of limited systems, whereas modern games take graphics and pre-made engines for granted and don't bother adding nearly as much.

THEY GOT MY EYE
No! Not just around here. I'm the boss to surpass Big Boss himself!

There's only room for one Boss! (the first character to ever say this)

If you have a death wish. I'll be happy to accommodate you.

He's got so many bangers in that. He's not even a villain. He's more anti/hero that dips into villainy as a means to an end.

MGS2 was so amazing. I remember when E3 happened and that trailer dropped. At the same E3, maybe on the same day even, the first Red Faction was shown off and that was a really impressive game. But compare the graphics to MGS2:

In Red Faction's defense, wasn't the game environment completely destructible?
Yeah, it was a cool and impressive game and it was something that really stood out that year(that's why I remember seeing the two at the same time), but the realtime MGS2 trailer was head and shoulders above anything else that had been done at that point. It was absolutely unbelievable in so many ways. Jeez.
