Was playing MGSV and I swear to fuck I just saw a truck driver bulldoze a friendly comrade at an outpost. There weren't any combat alerts, the truck wasn't being chased, nothing was happening, just a typical drive-thru. He just bumped him and he was gone.

I'm bringing this to you guys to ask if any of you have witnessed other friendly fire events in MGSV. They didn't switch statuses or put a notice out for intruders so I know they didn't just find a dead body, they just kinda cursed it all and went about their business.

Soviet's are cold, man.

Imagine cooming for Quiet or Sniper Wolf when The End is the superior girl.

When I was replaying the game last year I saw a guy being stomped by one of the walkers and then fly off into space. wish I had been recording when that happened.

It's one of many reasons why MGSV is half-baked. I can blame either Konami or Kojima for being an uneven mess, and that level is one of these reasons

It makes zero sense, and that's pretty much what Kojima is looking for. Incoherent bullshit
"Konami didn't give him enough time!"

This nigger had five years. What you got was what he was intending to release. The same several missions that you do dozens of times, and the back half of the game is the same missions but on hard mode because AUTEUR

They put GZ out as a standalone because he was dragging his feet on production. I remember the Japanese composer said in an interview that she thought he was intentionally stalling it because he wanted profit sharing or something, which is something Japanese directors don't do. They just get salaries.

The fact that Infinite Heaven made MGS V a shitload better just by *activating* shit that was already in the game (and I don't even know what might have changed since haven't played the game in like 5 years, I know they started adding custom side ops and stuff) says a lot about how far Kojimas head was up his ass.

It's weird that the writing and gameplay in Infinite Heaven is better than MGS V, yet Kojima is still a hack of a writer
The paradox of Kojima is that if he wrote hacky and just gave peopel what they actually wanted instead of his psuedo intellectual bullshit, he'd be less of a hack.

The final mission is literally two missions; 90% identical with the True End adding just a little more. I didn't like it when Asura's Wrath did that shit (before the True True Ending DLC); not gonna give Kojima a pass on it either.

I think MGS5's plot twist could work if "Ahab" really was voiced by Hayter and if the final mission was any different. As is, it kinda falls flat, and only has an impact if you actually played the original Metal Gear, which I don't imagine many people did.

I'm more curious about the whole deal with disarming nukes. Wasn't the nuke disarmament ending basically confirmed to be canon since Metal Gear 2 didn't have any nukes anymore? That game was weird so that might have just been retconned over time, but I always wondered what that whole thing was about. Saw a video on it that apparently the system is rigged and when people tried to disarm all the nukes legit way, Konami removed the feature altogether. The few times the cutscene triggered apparently wasn't "legit" either and Konami cried about that too.

Sperging out about MGSV made me realize that Quiet was the last time we ever had a "sexy" female video game character...and that came out 8 years ago...:punished:

The "plot" to the game was to fix a continuity error in the original MSX games
The dumbest thing is that Kojima addressed this in MG2

If you called Kesler during the Big Boss battle, he says he had heard rumors he survived thanks to cybernetics

I'm pretty sure the "Kojima needed to fix a hole" thing is massive cope from Kojima fanboys and was not a thing he had on his mind at all tbqh

To me it always was more an excuse to make a meta narrative of "You the player are as responsable to making this franchise what it is as we are, you are as much the legend big boss is!!!!"
I like it tbh, but I wish the ending didnt come out of nowhere, I would have personally just changed some of the act 2 missions to fit act 1 and left that acts ending as the actual ending, but eh.

Literally no one ever said that needed to be addressed in the history of the retarded MGS fandom. These are false memories people pretend they had.
