Can anyone tell me how the PC version runs on AMD's 200/300/Fury series GPUs? I'm about to order one of the new Fury X GPUs and I want to know how well this game runs on high or ultra settings.
My friend has similar specs and according to him it runs smooth as hell. The fox engine is a pretty amazing bit of engineering. Shame Konami will probably abandon it.
I would have loved to see Chico survived the helicopter crash and next time BB sees Chico he's like this scar fucked up person bent on revenge more so then Kaz.
I also wished Ocelot was a buddy,He could spin his guns to confuse guards or something.

My heroism was at 60k I think. For the FOB, you can retaliate, but normally you can't if they have a nuke. The only way to get around that is to have high heroism or a nuke of your own. Also retaliation is only available if they fail the FOB mission or have their cover blown during failure, I believe

I'm not so sure they're going to abandon it... if they did they'd be foo- Oh wait. They're the ones that think mobile gaming is where it's at.
Anyway, if they decide to do remakes of MG1 and MG2, it would be stupid to create a new engine just for those when the Fox engine is ready and available and is capable of creating such a gorgeous world. I don't think Afghanistan's ever looked so pretty.

If i remember the time line correctly Chico would be 22 in Phantom Pain so i don't know if that would be enough time for him to grow a beard,But that would be a cool twist i would have liked to see Chico in Phantom Pain and be really fucked and shit.
Also am i the only person that is disapoited in Skullface i thought he would be like a menacing muthatrucker but he didn't feel that menacing i just wish he was given more screen time to be fleshed out.
Does anyone else think the game should have ended after you defeat Skullface and destroy Sahelanthropus? The narrative just falls the fuck apart in the second half.

I would say the narrative fell apart before that. The story doesn't really kick in until when you're leaving Afghanistan and going to Africa so that entire time I was dicking around in Afghanistan felt like "What the fuck am I even doing?".
But yeah there shouldn't have even been a second "half" considering that there is 0 noteworthy content.

I was REALLY hoping Chico would appear in TPP in some way, even if it was the whole Quiet being trans conspiracy that was circulating for the longest time (Seriously though, what's up with everyone having a boner for trans characters in games these days?), but instead they just sort of wave off his ultimate fate like it was no big deal. Although, given that the player avatar can look fairly young, you could try making him look a lot like Chico while writing off the age as stress if you kind of want to roleplay it.

He sucked. He really did. What sucked most though was...
The fact that he was pretty much the reason Snake was able to finish his mission in Snake Eater. Like it pretty much seemed like only Snake, Eva, and Ocelot were the only agents in the field, but apparently Skull Face went about scouting ahead, cleaning up, and all sorts of wetworks to ensure BB succeeded. It just kind of felt like BB wasn't a badass after all. I was honestly thinking that Skull Face's connection to BB would be something like Skull Face turning out to be connected to The Boss at some point in time, even helping her assemble the Cobra Unit. That would have been a much better excuse. Hell, the whole "ZOMG COBRAS WERE INFECTED WITH PARASITES THIS WHOLE TIME!" thing would have made a helluva lot more sense that way.

Yeah. It's just mission re-run after mission re-run with some missions thrown in that don't even make a lick of sense. Kaz pretty much explained "Well this won't end the war in Africa, but it'll give us cash". Isn't that...pretty much what half of the missions were? The narrative really did fall apart with the second half. The plot was all over the place like Kojima was trying to cram everything in before Konami pulled the plug. What irks me is that we won't be seeing the legendary Mission 51 any time soon according to some guy from Konami who practically said there will be no story DLC for The Phantom Pain. Just outfits and shit.
I mean, I don't really mind that Mission 51 was cut, but they really could have polished the plot for Chapter 2 a bit, made things flow better and make more sense than just throwing it at us out of left field.

I also hoped he would have been in Phantom Pain i felt it was a miss opportunity for him to be in the game
I thought it was kinda stupid when it came to that explanation and kinda ruined the Cobra squad for me,It was kinda like when Obi Wan explained the force to Anikin. It sucked./SPOILER]
So I just beat the game and I can see why everyone is disappointed.
I was very disappointed that all the build up was really just about a Big Boss double. I was hoping it would be about Big Boss starting his war against Zero and the Patriots and starting Outer Heaven, not that Zero was a good friend and made him a twin. Instead Big Boss is doing everything off camera and we don't contribute anything except steal from his character. I think it's funny that basically this whole game exists just to elaborate on how Big Boss "survived" Metal Gear 1
Why is Big Boss against genetic clones but not mental ones that look exactly like him?
I hope that Eli's story line gets resolved somehow even if they don't complete episode 51. Right now I believe, Eli just loses his Metal Gear and wants a new one leading to MGS 1.
I was also disappointed that the Diamond Dogs never provide ground support at any point in the game, even when Miller says they would. At least the MSF saved Big Boss in Peacewalker.
I still enjoyed the game and will keep playing even though the ending was a let down. I also only just realized that Snake's fulton strap is his devil tail.
