MGO came out I think a day or two ago for PC and it feels so bland to me. I can't see the appeal at all.
This guy hasn't figured out how to play as Revolver Ocelot.

I'm enjoying it, and this was a choice between getting Fallout 4 or Phantom Pain for the time being. I'm definitely enjoying the refined Peace Walker system as it stands and I can somehow find myself getting past the copious amounts of stupidity inherit to the story (though it has had its good moments). I can tell the game was very much handled to get to release, however, due to the aforementioned internal issues at Konami; which is a shame, but one must have seen it coming from a mile away with any familiarity to Kojima as a creative lead in almost any video game he's ever developed. The man is nothing if committed to making sure his game is done and refined properly before it releases and that's all well and good, but for as much shit as I AM giving Konami these days, I can understand why they ushered him out when they realized what giving a man like that NO solidly controlled budget with NO real game plan to work on can do to your financial sector. I feel like Hideo is phenomenal as the brain behind a game, but he really needed and still needs somebody to reign him in and keep him down to earth.

Because why in the world do we need Keifer Sutherland to barely speak throughout our sixth+ installment in a series that is much loved FOR its dialogue and character interaction when you have the only definitive voice of the Snakes who literally pushed for a proper remake of the first game at his own financial expense practically on speed dial; Sutherland is overpriced as fuck and at that point an irresponsible expenditure that you might say was tantamount to the metaphorical hookers and blow.

Apologies for showing power level there.

I finished the game a few days ago.

Can anyone help me out as to exactly what the hell happened?

Particularly with the "Kingdom of the Flies?"

Where Venom lets Liquid live even though he has the parasite?Or was it something else?I thought that ending was okay but nothing special

So like said before on this thread i would like to see the Fox Engine remake of MG1 and MG2.

tl;dr is that the actual Naked Snake or "Big Boss", has been out presumably contacting Zero directly over in Cyprus and you, the player, is a hypnotized body double tasked with spawning a dummy or phantom legacy of the Big Boss to distract Cipher while this secondary mission was underway. The true ending as it was given to us, excluding Chapter 3, is that Venom Snake accepts this role even while now knowing who he really is and what his purpose is.

As for Kingdom of The Flies; essentially it's supposed to wrap up the whole arc involving Eli (Liquid Snake in other words) and the child soldiers being brought to Mother Base. The brat hijacks Salahenthropus (spelling?) and takes the kids with him to the aforementioned island in order to lure Venom Snake, who he still believes is Big Boss, there. Having deliberately infected himself with the English Strain Vocal Chord Parasite, he begins spreading it across the island through any XOF soldiers that have been sent to capture him. The climactic fight with him, mirroring that between Solid and Rex many years from the present, ends with Eli beginning to show signs of the infection and Diamond Dogs resolving to firebomb the island so that the parasites die out. In a gesture of mercy, Snake leaves him a single in the chamber and urges him to use it to avoid succumbing to the infinitely more painful bombing run and leaves. However, as he prepares to do so, the child in the mask, I.E. Psycho Mantis, removes the parasite from his throat and kills it; saving the both of them just as the island is razed.

Eli then resolves that it still isn't over and swears against Big Boss; by extent, his brother Solid as well.

Hope that about covers it.

It does, thanks for the synopsis. Looking at what could've been makes me really sad, but I still think it's amazing how the best game of last year is in an unfinished state, and still friggin' amazing.

I'd like to see a Fox Engine remake of every game ever. It's so well-optimized, it's insane.

I'll be pissed as hell if Konami makes slot machines and puts the Fox Engine on ice never to be used again.

Is Konami still producing their yearly football updates? They might be using the engine for that.

I finally got round to finishing MGS:V today and boy am I disappointed.

Tell me about it; it came out before my birthday, so I just watched my boyfriend play it, and I've never felt so cheated out of gameplay and story. I mean, internal struggles definitely had a heavy effect on the game, but even then, the plot overall contributes nothing to the general timeline. The things that happen do fit in nearly seamlessly into the future, but in a bland sort of gelling rather than actual understanding and anticipation. -_-

Was this kojimas idea or konamis
