As others said, force of habit. Back a few years ago a moderator had mentioned that the Vtuber thread would get locked at 10,000 pages, because at 10,000 pages and beyond the forum software starts to break apart as the DSP thread found out before hand. When that happens in 3 or 4 more years, we'll see how this board gets used then.
Assuming it still exists by then.

It should be much sooner than that, perhaps even within the year. There's about 750 pages to go and 750 pages back was about 10 months ago in March 2025. If TVA never existed, Live Talent would probably be similar in size to General Discussion and Games which are both just under 1M posts each.

Yeah I fucked up my mental math, woops!
7000 to 8000 was 555 days, 8000 to 9000 was only 445 days. Given the new threads created recently, both in The Live Talent board and the Lolcow sections of the site, I think we'll hit 10,000 sometime in early 2027, excluding some massive upheaval in the scene happening this year.

that and most of the popular vtubers got phonebooked already. Just waiting on Kanekostein Jewmi to prove me right.
