I hear you don't need to worry about the cylinder chainfiring if you smear lube over the cylinder mouths after seating the ball and powder.
As long as the balls you use are of the correct Diameter (you shave off a ring of lead when pressing into the Cylinder) You dont need the excess lube to prevent chain fires.

Helps in cleaning though.

S&W 1006 can be had for under $500 in gently used condition.
That's on my to own list, but if you are going for a 10mm auto, I seriously (as I mentioned before shudder I admit this) get a g20, I'm a bit partial to the g3s but both g3 and 4 can be snagged for the same if not less.

I'd say avoid the Delta Elites and EAAs in 10mm

A little ball butter does make cleaning a breeze, a few Q tips and she's shiny as new.

I got a Glock 19X. It’s a bit of a meme gun but it fits my weird meat mitts for the size.

I took the class my state requires in order to get a CCW permit. Unfortunately the next appointment at the sheriffs office is a month away and it normally takers about 45 days after you submit that paperwork for the permit to come in.

Where I am at all I need todo is give paperwork and fingers at the office no real interview and then wait 30ish days. And if I really want to I can open carry.

I have a 20 gauge over-under Beretta shotgun...ive never asked specifics on it as it was a gift from my Dad and I basically just keep it to get my girlfriend to go shooting with me. Mine is a Remington 870 Express and I fucking love shooting clays. I've actually shot in a few small tournaments before (sport clays).

3 years ago I made my first hand gun purchase, a Walther Pk380. It's a good gun for the first time purchaser, but I want to trade it in for a Walther PPQ 9mm.

I currently own a Ruger 10/22 carbine and that's it. No modifications or anything like that, but it's a decent gun to go out in the yard with and shoot empty soda cans and beer bottles with. I'm a fan of Ruger in general, they make quality guns and have good customer service.

On another note, I recently visited my dad and got to fire a Marlin Model 336 he bought at a gun show. It's chambered in .30-30 Winchester and while it was very loud, it was fun getting to shoot it.

First gun I ever shot was a Ruger Single Six my grandfather had (and still has), I was around nine years old at the time.

Also, any fans of black powder weapons? I've considered buying a black powder rifle, given my fascination with history.

I learned to shoot with a 10/22 and bought my own shortly after turning 18. They're superb, adaptable to multiple uses and a lot of fun for not a lot of money. Ruger is generally pretty solid, I just hate their double action revolvers. The actions feel unrefined and clunky compared to a Smith or Colt, and I also had the cylinder on an old Security Six lock up on me. Probably due to it being a gun that sat in my grandpa's safe without seeing cleaning for years, possibly due to shooting one of my uncle's wildcat rounds through it, but I have trouble trusting them since.

The older 336 is a great gun, the Pepsi to the Winchester 94's Coke (the 94 Ranger, a budget-conscious Winchester from the 90's, is my current deer gun). Classic Marlins are great, although newer production is kind of crappy in the fit and finish department. One of my .22's is a Marlin lever action I got as a disassembled bucket of parts. It was well-designed enough that I had it reliably functioning within the weekend.

A few of us shoot BP @A Name But Backwards really knows it and has helped me since I am still wet behind the ears. I have a rifle and a pistol in BP it's fun, but I mostly always shoot normal cased shit but I also reload.

In better news... the wait for another can begins.

Only have a G19 Gen 4.

Been meaning to buy a 10/22 just because and build an AR15 just because, but every time I get in the mood and/or feel like it, a mass shooting happens and prices sky rocket.
Just snag the parts any time you get a few bucks burning a hole in your wallet, you can get an AR that shoots for 400-500 any day. Less during sales. A simple AR is something with prices now, something everyone should own. I'm not much a fan but a I have 4 as of now... lol.

I know the feeling though, I got a crazy cheap deal on a 16" (useless) 308 AR barrel and have a multi lower now I'm like why did I do this? So it sits getting dusty as I just put the DP on another can and am going to get rifle to match it.

I really recently bought a Taurus Judge on an impulse. I've always wanted one because it can shoot shotgun shells which is fucking badass so when I saw one for sale I couldn't pass it up.

It's a sweet gun.

Refer to my earlier posts on my 02 cents on that pistol.

Is that a stock front sight? I hope it treats you well.

I recently got a Beretta M9 from a friend of my dad. It's not a conceal carry by any means, despite having a permit, but I learned to shoot with it so it feels natural in my hand. Same deal with the AR-15. I got called an Army wannabe once but it's not too big a deal. Imo, the best gun to own is one you feel comfortable with and I'm very comfortable with these.

Fuck people who play army or double fuck the people who say because you have mil surp or mil used tools you are playing army.

I'm not fond of the feeling of the M9, it's a great little pistol. Right now they are selling for cheap and I want to get one for it's history. They are big but if you want to CC it's doable, just need to dress the part around a full size. I am a wirey man and fit a full size daily.

ARs are so damn common, the most common rifle in the country now, so if you don't have a fucking PEQ on it taking it to a 5 yard range no one should call you a cawa dooty want to be for it.

My understanding is there is several different style of black powder weaponry. In the US acutal black powder is not used as much because its a pain to store and ship. They use stuff like Pyrodex. As for historical I know very little of where to start, my general understanding is that black powder weapons in the US are not legally considered firearms or something. Sides that bore butter is your friend and get used to it.
