that requires modding the cockpit to add a swivel mount. just using a rifle takes no extra work at all.

During the Vietnam War there was a Cessna O-1 Bird Dog pilot who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor after he was supporting an ARVN Ranger Batalion ambush that went sideways. He knew a whole mess of VC were charging towards the ARVN Rangers, but also knew fighter support was on the way. To buy the Rangers some time and hopefully help them escape, he rolled in to assist, and after firing off what few rockets his Bird Dog had, made several strafing runs firing his CAR-15 out the window to get the VC to back off and give the ARVN Rangers breathing room. Eventually the VC realized he was firing upon them and returned fire. His Bird Dog took too much fire, crashed, and his life was sacrificed to save those Rangers.

If your state is on that list and you are in the GOA you can make them but they have to be engraved, if you are in the CCRKBA you don't have to engrave.

Just FYI From my understanding, it's not clear cut yet, You may still have to engrave has a CCRKBA member because they got relief from "possession" of an NFA item without the engraving, not manufacturing without the engraving.(?)

The ruling is a hot mess and the NFA laws are a spiderweb of retardation, so just be careful until we get some clear guidance.

One question I have had is if I make something today and the ruling changes and gets overturned, is it grandfathered?
Probably. But you should IMO wait until official BATFE letters and some time has occurred. It’s not worth the potential legal heartache.

Can you guys provide some opinions?
Trying to decide between a Glock 17 and a Glock 45 for winter appendix / 3 o'clock carry.

Probably just going to buy a police trade in Gen 5.
I dont know why people are so into they g45 since they have the same size grip as the g17 which is what would print. Imo go with a g19 if you can even if its appendix but if you want that fullsize gripzone go for the g17, theres no reason to go for a g45. Especially with appendix.

Competition is one thing, but conceal carrying a weird hybrid of a fullsized pistol without half the benefit of carrying a fullsized pistol ist just silly

Apparently they shoot really nice. Ben has been a big fan of the g47/g45 for as long as I've been watching him. All you need to carry a full size handgun is a good belt, good holster and a "can do" attitude!
I just want to say I was on G45s and Walthers BEFORE IT WAS COOL.

Very whippy but chunky pistol. It's nice. Anyways I need a G47 now so that I functionally have 4 of the same two guns which are also two of the same one gun.

What do you currently own Glock-wise?

Currently own a 43x.
I also have a riced out 19x that is a range toy.

I'm too embarrassed to carry the two-tone 19x with ramjet + all of the modifications I've done to it and it's less than 100% reliable...

Wanting a stock non-MOS Glock for carrying like an adult

You don't need a "winter carry" you have a solid gun in your pants already. #1 consideration for winter carry is gun accessibility as layers of clothes can make it harder to get to the gun. More of a holster/practice concern then an excuse to carry fullsize.

Seeing as you lack a fullsize Glock I suggest the Glock 17 on account it will find a place on your battlebelt/shooting belt.

That being said, love my G45 and it is what sits in my battle belt and EDC holster both. Can't go wrong here bud.
