zeroed the Noveske, it was gassed just right, shot well. What I didn't expect was for the firing pin retaining coilpin on my 226 to decide to give up on life. To be fair, it was pretty much a training range bicycle before I was chosen for it to settle down.

I wonder if this means we can make as many suppressors at home as we want now without a form 1?

I've been wanting to get into disposable 3d printed cores because making traditional baffles on a manual lathe is a huge pain in the ass.

This is all such a clusterfuck.
Depends on your state and if you are a member of one of the plaintiff groups. If your state is on that list and you are in the GOA you can make them but they have to be engraved, if you are in the CCRKBA you don't have to engrave.

The tricky part is that I don't believe the statute requiring an SOT to repair suppressors was enjoined, so you technically might have to replace the entire suppressor rather than just the cores.

Too lazy to link to an older post, but Caylees cans are starting to get released.
Still Cheap for a 100% Ti can, but with FTN.6 cans and it not being able to take 5.7, it's a tough sell IMO

What's the engraving requirement? I hadn't heard of that being part of this ruling. Mississippi has a law that says if you make your own suppressor it must say Made In Mississippi somewhere on it but that's just MS.

You guys remember in the Constitution where it says you have to be a part of some fucking gay ass boomer mailing list to exercise your rights?
After Trump v Casa district courts cannot do nationwide injunctions on laws. Before that Democrats used to run to liberal districts in Hawaii and California and get injunctions for everything Republicans did and Republicans used to do the same thing in Texas and Missouri.

When you make an NFA item, whether it's a 3D printed suppressor or making an SBR from a PSA lower, the NFA requires you to engrave that firearm with your name/trust name, make, model, serial number, and the city and state it was made in. If its a 3D printed suppressor all of that is required, if its made from something like a PSA lower then it already will have the make model and serial number so you don't have to add those things. The SilencerShop plaintiffs didn't challenge the engraving requirements so they didn't get relief from them, but the Jensen plaintiffs did so they are no longer required to engrave any of those things.

That was back when suppressors were an NFA item.

I'm so late for the shooting form talk but curious what people's thoughts are on this. When shooting a rifle I shoot more modern elbow more relaxed and tucked in. I'm a compact little lead sligning platform capable of moving smoothly while shooting. Clays with a heavy O/U I make the most perfect flat 90 degree elbow platform as possible. Might just be monkey see monkey do as everyone who shoots clays are old. Feels good though like I'm a planted mechanical turret capable of following the target.

Unrelated: shooting so much now it's in the family budget. Joined club #3 because they have a sporting clays course you can go to anytime during the day.

Also forgot, want to thank the kiwi who almost a year ago suggested a used browning o/u instead of a new a300. I love this gun so much shooting it's incredibly pleasant and addicting.

They are still NFA items and the laws in the NFA that say that you must engrave a suppressor/SBR/SBS when it is made are still on the books for everyone but Jensen plaintiffs, you just no longer have to submit a Form 1 or Form 4 or have them registered in the NFRTR in your name.

Specifically, these are the laws that were enjoined as applied to Suppressors, SBRs, and SBSes (and AOWs for SilencerShop Plaintiffs only) under both SilencerShop/Jensen:

• 26 U.S.C. § 5812(a)–(b): Transfering NFA Firearms
• 26 U.S.C. § 5822: Making NFA Firearms
• 26 U.S.C. § 5841(a)–(c), (e);• Registration of NFA Firearms
26 U.S.C. § 5861(b)–(f);• Prohibited Acts of NFA Items (Possess one in violation of the NFA, transfer or make one in violation of the NFA)
27 C.F.R. § 479.62(a)–(d); Regulations about the Form 1 process
27 C.F.R. § 479.84(a)–(d). Regulations about the Form 4 process

These are the additional laws that were enjoined for Jensen plaintiffs only:
• 26 U.S.C. § 5842(b); NFA Serial Number Requirement
• 26 U.S.C. § 5861(i). Prohibition on possessing NFA items without a serial number

I believe that the chicken wing leads to a more control over the gun while swinging on moving targets. it makes a pocket in your shoulder for the butt plate.

And a good O/U or SxS is miles above any pump or semi-auto. they just swing so much better and are usually made a lot better (which isn't a knock on pumps and semi-autos, they're just made for a cheaper market usually). the break action guns are the result of 250 years of work towards making the perfect gun for shooting flying or running game animals.

And, in my opinion the break action guns are more engaging to use because you get to play with the gun more since it's all manually operated. I like cocking the hammers and breaking open the barrels.
this is my fav shotgun. it's a husqvarna lefaucheux action 12 gauge with peninsular hammered locks. nothing beats walking through the fall woods with a good hammergun shooting squirrels or turkeys.

Well look at that, pic related. I think you are spot on here. I've found a few pictures of professional clay shooters who chicken wing. I think the increased flexibility at the waist is great for a fast target flying through the air.

I do shoot clays, but only occasionally. I wonder whatelse shotgun bros are up to.

This fully tucked elbow/vertical upper arm stance is a modern pistol grip rifle shooting thing. It is definitively not the norm, historically speaking, and in general with long guns that do not have a pistol grip. And yeah, a higher elbow is common in shotgun sport shooting.

To add onto the sperging about chicken winging with my own anecdote; I almost always do it when firing rifle grip firearms. I've tried shooting my m1 garand with the more tucked modern stance and it does not feel as comfortable nor do I have as much control when transitioning targets when firing that way. Throwing the elbow out and creating a pocket in your shoulder just makes shooting the old rifle feel better.
On the shotgun topic, I picked up a 500 retrograde a few months ago and have taken it out shooting clays on a buddy's property finally. I really do love this shotgun, and while not as polished as a quality o/u or s/s (I have fired a couple my wealthy boomer friend has) I do like the 500 more for some reason. Took it out turkey hunting this year and combined with my model 10 (in its leather thumb snap holster) it just felt great wondering around with.
