7 Days to appeal sadly.
This also only applies to the plaintiffs and "where applicable, the plaintiffs’ agencies, political subdivisions, members, and customers—both current and future." I haven't read through the full docket, but apparently Silencer Shop did request a blanket ban on enforcement of the challenged NFA provisions, and the court wasn't willing to do that. It's a great step, but nowhere near the end of the NFA.

Oh yeah, time to find a micro Uzi stock arm to swap onto the Uzi pro, too! The Uzi pro factory folding brace mechanism uses the same hinge as the Micro uzi folding stock. I don't mind the brace, but the micro stock arm is significantly lighter than the factory tube brace adapter with a rubber brace slid over it. The Uzi pro is heavy enough.

I think that was the original movie.

Never if the FRT owners keep doing dumb shit and attracting attention. Another club organized range just banned FRT and other ROF enhancements because of people being dangerous retards with them.
Yep it sucks, when I installed an FRT in my AR I knew I had to have a certain stance and be careful when firing it. And I’ve been seeing videos of hoodrats blasting their FRT in somewhat public places.

The average FRT owner is a smelly reddit tier gun autist neckbeard who literally wear Boogaloo shit to the range, have a Lolbert bumper sticker and weighs North of 250lbs at all times.

I still want multiple FRTs but these retards are going to get them banned... Fuck 😤

What's the point of the suppressor tax? Is it just to squeeze more money out of people or is there more to it?
The justification for regulating surpressors was illegal poaching during the Great Depression.
SBRs, and by extension SBSs were essentially a "compromise" in that they originally wanted handguns to have the same regulations as machine guns. This got brought down to "just" concealable weapons.
Machine guns were in response to the St. Valentines Day massacre.
NFA was also in response to an attempted assassination on FDR.

Oh, so it's one of those completely outdated bullshit laws, like the one about sawn-offs. SBRs as in short-barreled rifles? I don't know a whole lot of gun lingo.

SBR: Short Barreled Rifle (barrel length under 16 inches)
SBS: Short barreled shotgun (barrel length under 18 inches)
AOW: Any other weapon (niche for weird stuff like pen guns, sabre guns and a bunch of other misc stuff)
If memory serves, legal rifle barrel length used to be 18 inches as well, but when M1 carbines hit the civilian market it was changed down to 16. At least that’s what I’ve heard, I should really look that up at some point.

That is correct. The CMP started selling M1 carbines off in the 50s and sold a couple of million before someone realized they were illegally selling SBRs. Congress then changed the length to 16” on rifles rather then try and track down the millions of guns that had been sold.

Xpost from USPG2. Short barrel shotguns/rifles and suppressors being subject to NFA was ruled unconstitutional and struck down.
This will be appealed and it, or a similar case (possibly a different case after a circuit split) will have to go to SCOTUS for any ruling that actually means anything on the ground.

I can only imagine the amount of chaos and mayhem those long ass barrels have caused. Unacceptable.

When it was first introduced in 1934 the tax stamp cost the same $200 as today but adjusted for inflation that's $5,000 in today's dollars. That was also deep Great Depression times while $200 is dinner at a nice steakhouse today. That fee was meant to ban them in practice without actually "banning" them in violation of the 2nd Amendment.

The average mongoloid that goes to a public gun range can’t be trusted to not go full retard with a regular semi-auto. I don’t blame ranges one bit for banning FRT’s.*

Only gun I’d ever FRT would be a PS90 so I could LARP as a member of Stargate SG-1.

You're overlooking a historical fact, Congress specifically picked $200 because that was the original retail price of a Tommy Gun, which was the cheapest and most common machine gun in America at the time. It's list price was $200 ($3,700) from 1921 to 1925, then they lowered the price to $175 ($3,300) in 1926, before raising it to $225 ($4,400) in 1928 which was still the price at the time NFA passed in 1934, at which point due to the Great Depression starting in 1929, the value of $225 would be $5,600 today.

Machine Guns were already unaffordable for the general public in the US at the time, and as a comparison, the only other machine guns you could find for sale in the United States were Colt Montiors which were $300, and surplus BARs and Lewis Guns that generally went for $250. To put it in perspective, the average cost of the cheapest new car in 1934 was $600.

As such, Machine Guns were only held for lawful purposes by the Government, Industrial, Mining and Commercial entities, it was exceptionally rare to find any law abiding private citizen personally owning a machine gun in 1933.

It's not like today where you can 3D print a Glock Switch with $1 of filament or make a lightling link with a 20 cent metal coat hanger.
