Colt's best quality handguns. Colt will build an SAA or 1911 anyway you wan't provided you have a large enough pocket book. this SAA cost north of 20k.

Uses Colt SMG mags and the few reviews I've watched show it's less than stellar. The buttstock may look polymer in pictures but it's painted wood and there's like six allen screws keeping it together. This company also makes clones of the FG42 but in 9mm

I still would like a PCC with a side-mounted magazine but I think I'll give up on that ever since the B&T debacle may have sunk the chance of theirs coming out.
Colt has among the best gun engravers in the country working for them. A custom SAA or 1911 will be perfect.Nighthawk Custom or Alchemy Arms will do it infinitely better for the same.
That is certainly true.A name holds reputation. Colt made shit-tier guns at a premium price for almost 30 years (from the workers' strike in the mid 80s to their bankruptcy and purchase by CZ) and that's still fresh in a lot of people's memories.
Neu-Colt in CZ packaging has made major improvements but the busted shit they pumped out for so long did serious damage to their credibility. Same goes for Remington, except they still make garbage and keep getting bought by every fly-by-night "asset group" under the sun.
I would never debate that Colt had some serious struggles. They stopped making 100% of their parts in house being the one I care most about. However...A name holds reputation. I have fired and seen fired more rounds through more Colt AR-15/M4 then I could ever count. I have seen plenty of blemishes on them too. But I rank Colt extremely high in confidence for reliability for AR-15s, even with the out sourced parts, I haven't once had a Colt AR go down in front of me.
No idea about the wheel guns or 1911s, I have mostly only heard bad things but I'm not sure how fair a shake they get because everything Colt is seen through a lense of nostalgia.
All that being said FN is the absolute king of quality at their quantity of production and the Belgians simply do everything better.
Id get this if it wasnt osight I already run an scs on my 49https://youtube.com/watch?v=ymMWUizBzI4
Slap one of these on there. I am a massive faggot for enclosed eotech style optics, though. So much so that I genuinely love my Sightmark M-Spec with the retarded sunshade and am surprised at how accurate it is on my PCC.
.22 short is better for squirrel in my experience. .22LR is too destructive if you pull a shot and you lose about half the meat. That's why I use my 12 gauge for squirrel. the pellets kill easily but preserve the meat.My father-in-law, rest his soul, was a big fan of .22 Short. He grew up poor with a lot of siblings (I believe he was the oldest) and his own father passed away when he was in his teens, so he had to be the man of the house and help raise his younger siblings. He also had to bring home food for the family from time to time, if you follow my festival. His buddies all came from families who were better off, so they all shot .22lr. .22 Short was a lot cheaper than Long Rifle (and a lot more common back then than it is today), so my FIL was able to do a lot more shooting than his buddies for the same amount of money. And since .22 Short has less energy than .22lr he learned to be extremely careful with his shot placement and make every one count. I know the rifle he had back then was a .22lr, which we all know can also accept .22 Long and .22 Short, but I can't remember if it was a single shot, or a bolt action repeater that he used as a single shot. It's been several years since he told me the story, and he passed away three summers ago so I can't ask him anymore. I did inherit a couple of .22 rifles from him, a Winchester 9422 from the 1980s and a Browning BL-22 that I believe is either a first or second year rifle, as well as a Winchester 1892, and a Walther P38 with alloy frame and Stoeger .22lr Luger that I bought for him years ago. But even to his dying day and when he could easily afford all the .22lr he could possibly want, he still had a fondness for .22 Short and was always really grumpy that it had become so uncommon to find and buy.
Where I'm from barking a squirrel means tapping two silver dollars together to mimic a squirrels bark and the sound of a squirrel eating nuts.I was always taught to "bark" the squirrel way back when. You aim the cheapo 20gauge at the limb or tree right infront of the squirrels head and you make the bark from the tree take it out instead of hitting it directly with the shot. I only ever managed it a couple of times, but my grandfather (alaskan native korea vet) swore by the technique.

they've started offering optics cuts on just about all models except their classic line as a stock option. That’s true. Otherwise I’d still go with the other companies. To my knowledge Colt doesn’t offer things like DLC coating and optics cuts.
Eventually I’ll bite the bullet and pick up one of my grail guns a - a Nighthawk Custom GRP Recon.
