The S.L. Variant speed loader I ordered arrived today and I am very happy with it. Unlike most speed loaders where you twist a knob on the rear of the loader to release the cartridges and they slide into the chambers under gravity, with the S.L. Variant the cartridges are all sitting on top of springs and a latch holds them in place. When you insert the cartridges/speed loader into the cylinder there is a release plunger located at the center of the loader inside the ring of cartridges. A firm press of this plunger against the rear of the cylinder releases all the cartridges and the springs they are all sitting on "squirts" them into their respective chambers with authority, even when the revolver is held horizontally.
Hey could you say where grabbed one of those from? I wanted to pick one up but was having a hard time finding a legit looking seller.

Do keep in mind with the 30 carbine that's just a 110gn round nose FMJ that saw very little deformation and wasn't long enough or fast enough to yaw/fragment. If hollow points were used it would have been SOOOOO much better but more so with the hollow points of today.
The 5.56 was definitely the right step forward in probably all aspects but the 30 carbine was used in it's worst case configuration. It's like a shittier 300blk, which also is very lacking unless used with projectiles specifically made for it.
With new bullets and a better gun I wouldn't be extremely mad if I had to fight with it.

The Israeli's still have the M1 in service to some extent, either with police or "settlers". Americans love making 10/22 chassis abominations and the Jews love doing to the M1 in much the same way. They received so many M1's as foreign "aid" that a whole cottage industry of modernization parts sprung up.

Lmfao at the AK dust cover on there. heinous shit
they are not on sale yet.
They better go on sale soon before me and the rest of the crew go on a popeyes chicken sandwich style rampage
SCAR mogs the AR-10 though.
factually correct opinion. SCARs are also extremely durable if the battlefield vegas posts on ar15.com were correct

Anyone have any experience with Tangfolio 1911s? There's one at my local gun shop selling for 750 bucks which is pretty damn cheap by Argentine standards. It's a 9mm single stack one with 10rnd magazines.

Fair warning - a lot of 9mm 1911’s regardless of manufacturer suck ass until you start paying real money (Wilson Combat and Nighthawk money). Can you get ahold of Wilson Combat magazines down there?

My budget for a single gun is around $700 max, but an original, GI, M14 at around $2k is  really hard to say no to. Especially Especially since the only GI surplus I have is a model 12 that I built (aka the only original part is the receiver)
Supposedly many of them will be mint as well. Thousands of them were completely rebuilt at the arsenal before deep storage. I’m sure a lot of them will be rough too, likely the returned foreign loaned guns.
