The DOD might just be going with Federal Peak Alloy with case technology for the HICAR program (and maybe beyond as the press release mentions cartridges .50 BMG and below) . The Agreement says that DOD has to buy 40 million cases before they have the option of buying the rights to the technology.

Yeah, I just don't see the point of a four-shot revolver. Just the cylinder alone presents issues. There's two ways you can make them: the first is where the chambers each make their own "lobe" so the cylinder is shaped like a four leaf clover/shamrock like these old revolvers, in which case they present a snag point. Or you make the cylinder round and bore the chambers like a modern revolver, in which case you're leaving a lot of excess materials that add weight, you have to design the lockwork on the action to be properly timed for a four round cylinder which will be different from the timing for a five or six shot cylinder, so you might as well have just designed it to chamber five cartridges from the outset and have that extra shot. I just can't feature any situation where having a four shot revolver would be preferable over the typical five or six shot we already have.

PSA, along with other online firearms retailers, had a rash of orders on ITAR-restricted items from other countries using stolen US credit card info. Other sites just had people spam orders and immediately cancel which clogged up their payment processor and run up expenses.

CMMG makes a version of the Dissent (side-charging; no buffer) that takes AK mags on their Mk47 receivers. Wanna say that it's also available as standard buffer tube gun too.
I wanna say that both use a chunkier bolt so you don't have to worry as much about a .30 cal bolt face on a .22 cal bolt, but don't quote me on that.

I think Q is the one that does the beefed up bolts, AR-15 size but higher grades of steel to handle 8.6blk's wider .308 based casing without needing a thicker/heavier bolt/receiver. I don't keep up with their products so idk if they do .308s/7.62x39s that would benefit from their tooling there
