I feel like Taser and I were being perfeftly cordial. Utilitarian tryhard vs enthusiasit discussion is in pretty much every hobby (tryhards are right though btw).
Not really.
Not in US doctrine indeed. Euro armies love the full auto for CQB.

In a PCC/PDW though you are rittling them with as many holes as you can as fast as possible to cause drastic loss in bloodpressure or cripple your target. Its like, a big deal, and why the MP5, P90, HK45, etc had their day in the sun.

There's a huge difference in a rifle shooting an intermediate cartridge and a full powered rifle cartridge in full auto

Get the timney trigger for your MP5’s - you can shoot fast as fuck while being infinitely more accurate than full.

I’ll take your word for it I guess. I’ve only interacted with USMC, Army and Australians.

Are we acting like modern 9mm JHP’s are just nothing now?

No sir, not even close. Thats the magic of full auto submachine guns. With a proper rifle this could/would be true.

Modern JHP 9mm *now* is going to be better then bullet when you pull it from your pack/trunk/night stand. If I'm pulling from a pack/trunk/nightstand then:
1. Holy shit!
2. I want a rifle.

Its a whole new world boomer, ask the zoomers in ukraine how things are now. Almost everyone now has some flavor of thermals/NVG/Armor/Arty and suicide drones. Shits fucked

It is but I frankly don’t think the Ukraine war is actually reflective of normal American self-defense situations or small arms in general.

@Romulus augustulus regarding what you said about boomer fudds on forums regarding deer hunting. You really can’t find a worst source of advice. Guys like that work entirely off vibes and anecdotes and refuse to ever accept they might of just made a shit shot. Every boomer is convinced they’re a scout sniper.

There is no good source of advice. Those who shoot animals believe they're lucky and hedge their bets on specific bullet weights and powder calculations, that if the bullet passes through nonvitals that they're clearly using the wrong variant of 6.5 and that if they miss it's because one of the components were faulty or the barrel is shot out. Those who shoot paper don't believe in expanding rounds.

Honestly everything through .223 to .300 Win Mag will take a deer. Just learn to actually shoot and not be a retard.

I use 6mm ARC btw

I'm one of the dozens of people still using 6.5 Grendel, I love it and Hornady Custom is very reliable.
But like I said on the previous page going through any sort of discussion on caliber and effectiveness is a stark reminder that people are retarded and insecure. Be confident in your ability and patient in the application.
