Welp, i was wrong about them issuing guidance early this week.

Not giving ANY guidance to industry operations investigators, is hilarious.

I see two paths forward, 0 guidance going forward, or very little guidance pertaining to how to get cans out of your “nfa inventory” and the like.

Seems like goa members can make nfa items as long as they engrave them i guess???

You can't hate the ATF (and the government) enough. Literally impossible, those contemptible fucking scumbags
This whole situation has inspired me to vote harder than I've ever voted before.

I'm gonna vote so hard that my vote literally figuratively changes The World™

I won't purchase a gun with one of those ugly ass indicators on them on principle.

Fuck California and fuck Californians.
Glocks have had a chamber indicator since Gen 3, iirc.

It's just an extra bump on the extractor that sits flush with the slide when the gun is loaded.
HK's have one, Beretta 92's as well. It's just a bit of orange paint on the extractor that will catch your eye when a round is loaded, but its there.

Ruger were the only retards that had that giant ass flag, and only on the SR9, which are trash anyways.

GOA can make suppressors, sbr, sbs, aow but have to engrave
CCRKBA can make suppressors, sbr, sbs and don't have to engrave

I have no clue if someone in both groups can make an AOW without engraving, the way that the order is written makes me unsure. Right now you can buy suppressors and AOWs on a 4473. You can't currently transfer SBRs or SBSes on just a 4473 because theres a line in the GCA that wasn't enjoined that requires "Attorney General approval" for transfers.

@MrB Thanks for the write-up. so it's one of those things like having blind spot indicators in your car. They are good to have, BUT you still need to check your blind spot because if you don't, you're a fucking retard?? Also, do people like the gun? And should I assume the 10-round mag is just a 12-round mag with a pin on it?

Ruger semis have always been dog shit. The RXM being the only exception.

No, they have dedicated 10rd-ers.

I decided to pass on the Bodyguard because of some manufacturing slop issues, but I am possibly the most anal and critical person about CCWs on the site so that should not live rent free in your head.

You can expect any problems to present immediately (shooting far left or right because barrel doesn't seat in the slide correctly) or in about 200rds or so (after break in period which the gun preportedly has) for guide rod issues. S&W will take good care of you if something is wrong, just be sure to actually shoot the damn thing.

The most optimistic hope on the GCA approval clause was for the ATF to come out with something simple like announcing "approved 4473's satisfy this in the same way as approved Form 4's", and to treat them like every other firearm but as it's been a week with ZERO guidance we're probably going to get some hot mess maintaining the SOT requirements and a new Form 4a that's "totally not a registry just for approval, we promise"

What do you carry? Are those manufacturing issues something that has been fixed over time, or are they still there?

Glock 45 for the EDC right now. But my job really doesn't mandate a descrete carry profile.

The Bodyguard 2.0 probably is the best deep conceal right now value for profile, but I'm not an owner of one and haven't shot it. Newest Ruger LCP remains competitive due to proven reputation and Micro 1911's in .380 are really excellent for coatpocket carry for suit jacket wearing occasions.

What is deep conceal vs conceal? Pros and cons?
