When I have more money, I'll probably replace my VEPR-12's trigger assembly with 3 US parts and start buying a shitload of magazines. SGM 12 rounders sound good.

A 25 round drum exists but is still being tested before release.

Apart from that, there are a couple of performance upgrades and the possibility of replacing a few plastic parts with metal, but as The Dude said, magazines first.
 
You gonna put any optics on your VEPR? I would suggest either an Aimpoint T1 or EOTech EXPS3.

If there is one thing I can say about gun control, it's wrong if it tries to ban those type of guns, the kind every man and woman are born with, the kinda that Hulkamania has with all its Hulkamaniacs.

Probably not for a little while, I have to solve my magazine issue. I only have two 5 rounders, and as Jace would say, that's unrealistic and gay.

Seriously though, I am kind of tight with money right now, so it might be a little while before anything.

I prefer to fill my freezer with moose steaks using this, personally.

The broadhead tends to cut the animal cleanly in half, though, depending on where it lands.
 
I have to fly back to southern California in about a month and for the first time, I'll be flying with a firearm. Has anyone done this? (hopefully specifically to LAX?)

I've read the ATF, TSA and my airlines posted rules about this. It seems like it's actually not that big of a hassle. I'm just wondering if it's going to be one of those things where the people on the ground are so ignorant of official policy that they turn it into a complete nightmare.

Also, has anyone ever shipped firearms to themselves c/o someone else in another state? I've seen that the USPS will allow long guns, and that you don't even have to declare them. UPS and FedEX will do handguns and you do have to declare them and go through a bunch of BS. I'll be taking a handgun on the flight and shipping 2 long guns. (at least that's my plan.) If anyone has actually done either of these things, I'd sure appreciate some input.

I would just UPS your guns to yourself. If you're going to be flying with firearms in your checked luggage, be damn sure that you're not breaking any laws at either end. By American standards, socal cops are Nazis when it comes to firearms. Don't expect any breaks.

Yeah, I've lived in SoCal off and on for a long time, so I know how shitty the firearms situation is out there. I've just never brought firearms into the state before. According to the CA DOJ, I would have 60 days to "register" any firearms I brought into the state. (and that's basically all I can find) What I'm worried about is BS at LAX or my originating airport from the TSA or the USPS/UPS/FedEx when I go to mail the long guns. I'm not bringing in anything that's not on the approved list in CA, or anything that could be considered an "assault weapon" (we're talking about a revolver, a 12ga., and a 30-30 lever action rifle.)

Yeah for sure. I've lived in both CA and NY and you can forget all about CCW in either of those states (unless you plan to live in a rural county with an awesome Sheriff.)

Some types of ammo are illegal to even posses in LA county. Be careful.
 
I'll stick to Utah where I can own pretty much whatever I choose. I've been to California. It's a nice place to visit...kinda, but I'd never live there.

Yeah, unfortunately just not going there isn't an option for me. I'd like to think that despite all of the hysteria in CA, the law is still the law. Everything I've read so far says that I'm totally good to bring/ship firearms into the state. I'm just trying to find first-hand accounts from people who've done it, but all I'm finding are a bunch of forum posts on gun-sites with people asking, and others telling them what the law states, but no first hand accounts. Just a bunch of internet lawyering.
