Therefore, it can be understood as Capcom not wanting to close off the poossibility of being able to do what they want with each part of the franchise later.
has the same ring to it as this

To think this franchise used to be known for pumping out endless sequels and spinoffs. Now it's been 7 years and we're lucky that Protoman is even bothering to show up.
just watch when they decide to unfreeze bass from whatever carbonite hellhole he is in...
We do not actually know who fixed Zero in X6. The problem is the original translation causes a lot of people's eyes to kind of glaze over, but Isoc makes it very clear in one scene that he doesn't know who repaired Zero or even where Zero was. It's another unanswered question.
both the translation and the ending scene implies it was light's hologram doing a little trolling, even so when you account for the "NON-CANON" interaction between him and zero on X5 for the black armor, same as X's ending in which it is implied it's light's hologram but not really set in stone and it can be shrugged off as a reploid medic that the dying brains of them hallucinate as something else.
This document was originally reported as being for X1, but X2 co-director Tsuda said on Twitter that he never saw it, however someone he did not name on the team weirdly kept pushing for what's on it. Meaning that this was likely something Inafune scribbed down at some point and abused his increasing seniority and management clout to push.
when you think you can't hate the con man enough... it gets worse.

The problem with trying to take the X story or lore or whatever seriously is the devs sure as fuck didn't. It took them one game to forget that Light said he couldn't make Zero any sort of power-up until Black, and have him in fact able to make four in a prequel that's better than the actual armor.

So is there any news on the fangame front? Anything new that came out or is about to come out?
don't mention "that" game please
I don't know if I mentioned it here before or not, but Megaman X6 Viral Nightmare had its first round dropped today.

Unlike previous fan games, this actually was released in a timely fashion. He allegedly started this in August of last year so for a solid half the game being done, that's quite an achievement IMHO since these fan games tend to take forever.

On a side note- I don't understand how anyone can still support that OTHER game. Especially since the development time is now greater than some of the fans waiting for it have been alive.

Edit: I hope Capcom is taking notes because jeez...this is pretty darn good.

It's much easier to make a game when a good chunk of it was more or less already done for you, to be fair.

They reused many assets, no?
