He looks like he has autism, but that's not surprising. I've seen worse, so whatever.

That bottom-left one kills me, not just because of his retarded helmet but due to his posture. I've never seen anyone who wasn't a lump of congealed soy do that, and that's all I need to know about this fucker.

Damn... cannot tell which was worse. Battle Network 1 or 4.

Fuckin' oof. I never had any issues with his reploid OC char he uses as a stand in for his videos, but to show up to convention panels wearing the hat? That's a level of cringe that inflicts psychic damage. Are there any other Mega Man content creators that aren't lumbering autists with tiny voices?

Easily 4. The first game feels likes a proof of concept and lacks some quality of life stuff that came later, but at least you could experience all the content the game had to offer without having to slog through it 3 times at the minimum, or realistically more like 5-6 with the way Battle Network 4's "story" randomizes.

Having one of the shittiest final bosses in the series doesn't help either. He's actually harder to beat on the first playthrough than he is on the NG+ since you won't have access to the better battle chips until your later playthroughs. Once you've got your folder built up, he's still poorly designed, but now the fight doesn't take as long.

The translation of this game is also absolutely fucked. Not in a shitty pozzed localization way, in a ran through Google Translate and put in the game kind of way. Battle Network always had spotty translations, but it's really bad in 4. Sometimes it's unintentionally funny. It's just another result of Capcom being greedy and churning these games out yearly.

Capcom just really shit the bed in 2003. They brought us timeless classics such as:

-Devil May Cry 2: Worst game in the franchise and mid as a game in general.

-Mega Man X7: One of if not arguably the worst entry in the X series.

-Mega Man Battle Network Network Transmission: A mid attempt as a crossover of Battle Network and classic games. Story takes place between Battle Network 1 and 2, despite the series being on the fourth entry for... reasons?

-Dino Crisis 3: Worst game in a dead franchise. RIP, was good while it lasted.

Add Onimusha: Tactics to that trash pile.

I like it a lot more than DMC3, and it was pretty solid.

This game was really cool, I think it did things well. It just should've implemented MMBN style exploration too.

That's one of the best TRPGs :stress:

Huh. Rather good timing that Coldgrip bumped this. Looks like the diversity brigade is coming after Mega Man of all goddamn things, bitching about DiVE's title screen.

That looked a lot better than I expected it to, honestly, aside from the bitch in the burka.

I mean, sure, he conplained about "representation", but at least he made his own game instead of complaining to Capcom.
