GigantorUnitron may have more info since they seem to know about it, but yeah that is my understanding and I'm willing to take multiple other people's word for it. The guy worked on MM7, MM8, MM Legends, and Pokemon cards.
I had a brave soul look into it for me, and it turns out the MMZ artist, Toru Nakayama, has gone a step further and done Kamen Rider lolicon guro. Which I trust now explains why MMZ's hideous art is the way it is, though I have no confirmation on if he did it to MMZ characters.

and i do agree with the artstyle, as for the designs...everyone got that character design you hate in it's normal artstyle but love it when other people draw it? Like those pics you see of an anime character being drawn in other artstyles, for example.

The Megaman Zero series was my intro to Megaman as a franchise and honestly I am more of a fan of that series than the original line or X, so I actually really like the MMZ designs and art style as their own separate thing...
...which is why I really did not want to know this. Fuck's sake. Pedoshit gore porn being even tangentially connected to this via the artist is going to bug me forever now.

You can see exactly what he said if you use unddit. Dude was trying to use the "subjectivity" card. I can't say that drawn pedophilia is a subjective thing - it's just on a spectrum of how terrible it is.

you mind going into detail on that? i like the megaman zero designs -when drawn by other people because you can tell when they paid nakayama enough to give a damn about what he's drawing- and I never equated it's bad artstyle to guro. I don't get it.

then again BN is kind of a thing like that anyway in universe, the main reason Megaman.EXE isn't replaced is because he's modular as fuck compared to other programs because he's meant to be integrated with the DNA of his ooperator unlike the other programs and viruses.
