Just a half finished demo level of a 3D ZX fangame I'd been chipping away at with some characters and original enemies made. Its not a 2D platformer and more like prime hunters. Haven't announced anything because I don't have a Playable demo ready.
Oh, I was expecting drawings of characters or something like that. Hope it goes well for you.

Are the characters pre-existing ones or are they ones you came up with?

How did you and your team get started on the project?

I did make a few concept sketches before I settled on designs and modeled them. The cast does consist of some pre-existing characters like Aile showing up occasionally but there are more original characters overall since they did allude to some apocalyptic upcoming event at the end of ZXA. Nothing hilariously edgy and trying not to spoil it.

The scope is small since its just me working on it as a hobby. I had mulled on the concepts I had made for most of last year before deciding to actually make something of it. Unreal is a neat engine.

I don't personally play fangames, so I'm not too worried about spoilers. That might not be the case for other people, though.

I've had ideas of my own, but I don't talk about them because it'd be pretty easy to figure out who I am on other sites if I said anything specific.

Understandable as I don't either. They aren't exactly the most accessible anyway and its not like most people put any effort into them.

Yeah KF is a notorious gossip site and I don't talk about this stuff on other forums anyway. What's the point if they will just permaban you on a whim while they and every bot will be shilling the political cause of the week and never once actually talking about the game the community is based around? Rockman seems to have been the most mild case of this since everyone already jumped ship years ago it seems due to capcom's sitting on the franchise.

That creates its own problems, because it means many of who's left are autistic, randomly bring up trans stuff, or always-horny coomers.

(Yes I am aware I repeat myself.)

Funny enough, an MM fanartist in Brazil was going ham about "Capital Riot 2.0" over on Twitter just yesterday.

Those types were not a great first impression for newcomers to the series like me.

Twitter is a joke and no actual discussion happens on there.

Had found the MMLS forum and it seems like its dead not just because of lack of interest but because they want to harvest userdata from a discord server and refuse to approve new accounts. It was hilarious reading through the going away thread as it appears to be hijacked by redditors LARPing and seems to be the only remaining forum for megaman that I could find. The earlier posts seem legitimate though.

There are a few Megaman forums still in existence.

I was going to suggest MMN (Megaman Network) but I guess they closed the forums some time ago.

And Rockman PM is a wasteland of bots.

Have you just tried "Megaman forum" in a search engine? Maybe there's one around.

That is how I found MMLS in the first place. Every other suggestion in search engines are for the r/megaman subreddit where some people complain about standard discord lunacy.

Found it interesting how INTI did recycle a lot of Star wars GBA/DS sounds for weapons in the ZX series, most notably the Super battle droid's wrist blaster for Atlas' cannons and the tie fighter cannon sound for model X's buster. The E-5 blaster sounds that the B1 battle droids use is in there too and can be heard from some enemies in the first level of ZX. Oddly no one ever talks about this and just regurgitates wiki articles instead all over youtube.

Episode 3 for the DS was actually a decent konami styled brawler btw and the sounds were probably just taken from a company developer repository so they could just put it all together quickly and meet deadlines.

It's probably a good thing that Ruby Spears Roll was so different, considering how the Japanese fandom acts around the original. One of the official artists at Capcom, Hideki Ishikawa, was a pretty sick bastard apparently.

It's in the gallery; here you go.
>lazily retconning shit years later
predictable.
never forget that x6 made con man seethe hard.
Also I remember Roll being weirdly ooc....
Ruby spears roll looks legal at least for a pseudo sister of megaman with her VA matching the same theme.

X prime is right though since japanese roll is often the target of lolicon artistes in the megaman community, then tron bonne but not legends roll since she looks old, how do i know? it's the same autism that drives sonic fandom that makes these people post their +18 oc artwork anywhere they get a chance, i recommend taking a glance at chris chan's thread to get some idea of how this is.

i do wonder why X wasn't mentioned not even once for a cameo character.

i mean just look at those chiseled abs ffs, megaman ain't got shit near X, spark mandrill being russian was funny as shit unlike the remake where they make him gay.

bonus, when searching for the source images google was nice at least once in it's existence and showed me this

Looking back on it now it was pretty funny the cast never stop giving Roll shit that, yes, you ARE a housing keeping robot, so get back in the kitchen! Your arm turns into a vacuum, not a blaster!

Finished ZXA today on normal and unlocked expert mode. Noticed a neat detail that the scanning cone is actually the shape of the reploid diamond on grey's forehead.

It's in the gallery; here you go.

The ending of ZXA says reploids do have their own free will by making their own destiny as cyborgs so I'm sticking with that. Maybe the X series reploids don't by default but they definitely do in the ZX and Legends series as tech advanced forward in the timeline.

Ruby-Spears Cut Man's toy has a bulge and while I understand it's probably from reusing a mould, it's still funny as hell to me.

Fully Charged was ass for all the reasons stated in that image. Ice Man's design in particular bothered me a lot.
