Would it be wrong for me to say that my favorite games in the franchise are X1, X4, X8, and Zero 3? And that I could never really get into the Classic series?

The only games I've played were 2 and 5. The former was okay but the latter felt like a chore because as I said before, I'm not great at platformers and the charge shot made things more of a pain in the ass for me than I'd like. Most of my interest came from the mediocre Ruby-Spears series.Would it be wrong for me to say that my favorite games in the franchise are X1, X4, X8, and Zero 3? It had some fun moments and a bit of potential. I would have liked to see some character development with Proto Man, Mega Man, and Dr. Wily. Is analyzing the show too autistic? I'm not talking about homoerotic stuff, either; more like how Mega Man was willing to forgive Proto Man (Bro Bots and possibly another episode with the quote used in the last line) for all the crap he pulled, how Dr. Light said something like he is programmed with a moral compass (which doesn't completely make sense because Dr. Light wasn't responsible for the final build, so how does he know Dr. Wily didn't get rid of that), Mega Man saying he was going to make Proto Man "good" in the first episode, and at one point, Proto Man saying "Sorry brother, I was programmed to be bad".Ruby Spears was fun.
Had a bit of whimsy.
Oh wow, that's stupid. Did they mention that a lot of the show was a result of focus groups that didn't know who or what Mega Man was? The western superhero look did better with the focus group than the original pitch, which makes sense considering Jap stuff wasn't nearly as easy to find as it is now.I remember game journos getting upset back in the early 00s that the Ruby-Spears cartoon was "too kiddie".
It's a kid's show, it's going to be for the kids. Lighten up, tards.
Captain N was because the guy who was working on it only had the game without a manual, iirc. The tint on the screen might have been fucked up, so Mega Man looked green. I can't explain why they botched most of the Robot Masters, however. I think the guy working on the designs didn't have enough time to actually play the games, so he for some reason, failed to observe the boss portraits and just half-assed it from maybe a quick glance. That's the first I heard of it, but I'm not surprised when I remember his look in Captain N.
Shows how much they cared, huh? That and apparently nobody at Nintendo or DiC realized Mega Man was the wrong color until it was too late to change anything. It would explain Link not being blonde, though.
In response to this, I quote Alia's developer comment:I remember game journos getting upset back in the early 00s that the Ruby-Spears cartoon was "too kiddie".

By popular demand(?) of the staff in previous games, female characters first showed up in the X series. Personally, I don't feel it's all that necessary, since these are titles aimed at kids. However, I felt the real problem was, could a female make cool decisions? So I settled on the result of a female navigator. Aeria was another design that was hard going. We went through any number of bad ones, for which I apologize, to make sure she was a denizen of RockMan DASH and matched with the X universe.
You seem to favor MMX, if you haven't given Mega Man & Bass a shot then that might change your mind. The game is famous for being hard as balls though, and the level design favors more Bass than MegaMan (or am I mixing this last bit up?)You seem to favor MMX, if you haven't given Mega Man & Bass a shot then that might change your mind. Bass plays more like a character from the X series.
The difficulty is exaggerated, it is really tough even as Bass, but yeah, picking Mega Man is for masochists. You can abuse Bass' double jump and Treble's flight to cheese some more difficult parts of stages. There's a few bosses who are trouble but nothing stocking up on lives won't solve. The game is famous for being hard as balls though, and the level design favors more Bass than MegaMan (or am I mixing this last bit up?)
I found ZX on normal to be tough because of the high damage everything does. Its like a 2D version of halo 2 on legendary but you cannot get out of the map to have some kind of cover and the normal enemies dont drop anything during boss encounters. The difficulty is exaggerated, it is really tough even as Bass, but yeah, picking Mega Man is for masochists. What kind of stuff do you have, outta curiosity? Is there any place besides the farms that isn't completely pozzed or dead to share fanart of megaman?
Just a half finished demo level of a 3D ZX fangame I'd been chipping away at with some characters and original enemies made. Its not a 2D platformer and more like prime hunters. Haven't announced anything because I don't have a Playable demo ready. What kind of stuff do you have, outta curiosity?
