Cloudflare is definitely trying to save face with this "imminent threat to human life" bullshit. It's a clear cop out. Makes me wonder if some dick-flipping degenerate or one of their tranny chasing sycophants got his personal dox and threatened him or his loved ones personally. Still a coward move. For as much as the he-shes and tranny activists like to call us terrorists, they're the ones who are happy to stoop to terrorist tactics to get what they want because their parents never told them "no" when they threw tantrums growing up.

Makes me wonder how much a child porn evidence they had against him ?

I love how all these idiots are doing blatantly illegal activities with accounts attached to their real names/personalities to shut down our perfectly legal site by performing DDOS attacks. Now I just wish the fed would do their fucking job for once when it comes to cyber-crime.

The fed isn't going to do anything when they have one of their agents as one of the heads of the dropkiwifarms movement.

This user joined in 2020, but the account remained inactive until July, 2022.

@Null can you clarify the "Password" entry? Does it mean that the user remained inactive until changing their password on Jul 30, 2022? And more importantly, does it mean that their old password was only 6 characters?

If so, do we have any more evidence that might show this was a hijacked / popped account? For example, is the associated email address breached according to haveibeenpwned.com?

This depends, a 6 character password has around 2 billion possible combinations.

Though if a user has a 6 character password, you can probably assume that it is a word with maybe a number at the end which would severely cut down on the time taken to crack it. Additionally, if the user uses the same name on other socials, and those socials were part of a previous leak, it would be stupid simple to find that password through the right channels.

Even without proof of the account being popped; we can probably assume that this was either a false flag by their group, or a suspiciously timed action by a new lolcow.

Exactly - it indicates a user with terrible security hygiene. Someone that almost certainly re-used that same 6 character password elsewhere, and likely on a website that was breached at some point. Which makes the account takeover scenario much more likely IMO. If we could prove it with some additional forensics that would be huge. It might not win over the mainstream media, but it would at least convince some more technical audiences.

I think it's more likely that he just made the account, forgot about it and reset the password to watch the drama. If I recall correctly, the user himself edited/deleted the post before the mods noticed it with the reason "retarded". I think a false flag would've just left the post there for as long as possible. I guess the best way to check if it was hacked would be to check his ip's country (assuming he wasn't using a vpn)

Matthew Prince is a coward and liar, but the past 6 years have been nothing but a reminder that as long as you're telling the lies everyone wants to hear, no one will punish you for them.

Occam's razor would lead me to believe that most if not all of the major players in this event are feds or connected to very powerful circles. And it is more likely than not that this forum has been being used as a means to contain/monitor "extremists", whether the creator intended it as such or not. This situation ought to have taught everyone that TPTB can snap their fingers and make a website/community disappear. For whatever reason KF had outlived its usefulness and/or killing it was a demonstration of some sort - in my opinion a demo of how easily they can unperson you and your online presence.

Sorry to schizopost but these demoralization ops have become predictable. And here I had just wanted to be here to talk about a retard who thinks he's Jesus.

What is it about KF that would attract extremism? The vast majority of the claims about us are fake. It seems like an extremist would show up here and either get bored or sperg out and end up with a thread.

I was thinking about this.. The lie isn't even close to being the worst part about what he did... neither was even "buying into" the "threat" despite it being deleted quickly... It's the tone and "deadly serious imminent danger" narrative that he not only used but basically created.. Not even our favorite troon himself took it THAT seriously. Mat not only lied and threw us to the wolves, but ran us over a few times for good measure! He created the narrative and hysterical tone which made it all the harder for others to ignore. THAT is what i find so offensive!

That's why I put it in quotes. Media is portraying KF as a far right hate site exclusively on the basis of it being critical of trans persons of interest. Virtually all of whom have not come to attention for being trans, which they fail to mention of course. So at this point in time I think it's safe to say that being critical of trannies is considered "extreme" by those groups who are getting things shut down.

This forum is about as diverse in its sub areas as 4chan so it is of course ridiculous to act like it's a monolith of alt right people, even if some who identify that way are here. There's a whole variety of people here because the subforums are varied. That's how an uncurated community should work.

In the short window of time I've not been able to fact check what's been happening here I've heard more than a handful of absurd fucking things in the radio silence, like Null being tied to some neo-nazi site that was hit when the rest of his sites got nuked and everyone was just sort of going with it as fact. It's kind of concerning how much of an echo chamber the "News" circuit has become.
Also called the false flag like, three times. It's pretty typical of the far-left to try and do some absurdly stupid shit under the guise of the right to draw sympathy. I'd not be surprised if Keffals had one of his retard friends take the photo if he didn't just do it himself.

You don't have to let the post as long as possible up here.
The-Canadian-we-are-not-going-to-name-here was F5'ing the thread. There where enough other agents out there watching the thread too. One simple screenshot was enough that they needed as proof to undermine their lies. No one from CL would have started to look into the thread themself just to varify that the post was legit made and still is there. They only needed one screenshot and they got it.

What is it about KF that would attract extremism?
The ability to post what they think without getting banned or irl-blacklisted.
>What about imageboards
There are dedicated groups of activists on those boards whose entire cause is to find threads with too much wrong-think and slide them. On here you can post forbidden knowledge and it just stays up.

What's stopping anyone with a VPN from doing the exact same with literally every site hosted on CloudFlare? Just posting a violent threat, screencapping the post and then bombarding CF with reports demanding the site be taken down?

Nothing. However, as Nool said, Matthew Prince was lying. CF's blog post was making up a story of le increasingly violent Kiwifarms to handwave the fact that they cucked to a cancel culture movement, media razzamatazz, etc. Someone else could try a similar stunt, and it's bound to have been tried many times before, but CF were muddying the waters and are unlikely to react in the same way without the involvement of protected classes, the media, feds, etc.
