Even if they do, it will keep happening. The right used to be the side of censorship, and they will be again when they come into cultural power again. The right already still calls for things to be censored or destroyed when its something they dont like.

A right wing internet would just allow and censor different things. Hell, even people here who claim to be free speech absolutists change their tune when theyre the ones getting made fun of or offended. And people who make fun of "muh free speech" start crying how important free speech is once they get censored and villainized.

But having alternatives is always better. Theoretically there would be a place for everything. If one group doesnt permit something, theoretically the other would. Then again, look at different political parties, states, etc. There'd be cucking and centralization anyway.

Exactly. Kiwifarms has a far lower signal to noise ratio than 4chan, and the threads last forever. Because of that, this website must die while 4chan is just a glownigger honeypot where you'll just as easily get groomed by an FBI agent to shoot up a mall as you will find useful information.

I've long been convinced that was ground zero for the internet (really just social media, but government/corporate policy toward social media leaks into everything else) starting to get taken seriously by governments.

Whatever else happens, I'm just glad KF is as resilient as it is. Hopefully the same methods being used to keep this site online stay stable and get copied, while other methods get developed.

Why even include that first line? I'm betting someone from CF's legal team forced Matty Boy to put that line in, even when anyone with two brain cells to rub together could tell this is an outright farce. The only policy Matthew Prince has shown is a policy of appeasement, no matter how strongly he may "articulate" the opposite. And that last part about relagating cyberattacks to the dustbin of history...uh, what? Does this faggot not know that state actors utilize some very effective cyberattacks? I find that last statement very telling indeed.

What emergency, Matthew? We're here to laugh at people of all stripes, from all political spectrums, of all genders, the mentally insane and the curiously interesting. The risk of the death of free expression on the net is very real and very concerning.

It wasn't just social media. It was social media plus govt that coordinated that. The original project teaching them how to overthrow govts were sponsored by senators and money given to google employees to create something called Howcast.

Its even on record of senators saying "aren't you worried about repercussions" before it happened.

They organized the Egyptian protesters, they got caught coming back into the country with their plans (exposed later by Wikileaks)

So you had two google guys, they make a "how to" video site. They then go to Egypt and other places to train them how to overthrow the govt. The first attempt failed. The second worked.

If I went back far enough I could find the original explosive story. Glenn Beck (lol) found it first, blew it up, and it was all true.
