I agree with this and new accounts with full access should have to pay for premium.

When that is done, only a very small minority of bad actors will pay up. That’s the case with Gab. Only a handful of leftists there to make bad posts actually pay for Gab Pro. And of course, having a pro account gives you instant credibility with other users. It sounds dumb, but it’s true.

Dear Journalists and/or legislators, why is kiwifarms being held to standards far more demanding and more heavily scrutinized by behemoths like facebook? This reflects absolutely everything wrong with the direction society is headed. Matthew, why do you hate free speech? If you don't hate it, why do you allow yourself to be extorted by obvious bad faith actors? And the post wasn't up for more than 15 minutes, at that point the fag shut down kiwifarms and slandered dear feeder so that he wouldn't have his feelings hurt by the idea of abdicating our rights away yet again.

Of course, this means that I now support scammers, fraudsters, and other undesirables having unmitigated access to the Internet as we are clearly being ostracized and removed to their second class citizenship.

When the Internet was invented the network grew in size rapidly due to more users, up until 2007 when Facebook, Google, Amazon and various other companies began shrinking it by buying up domains and closing the sites.

Now we're at a stage where these companies want to shut off any and all political discourse online unless it's left, were basically being herded on to the trains with each other arguing why it's so cramped instead of where are the trains going to take us.

The answer is a shower.

Centuries ago, the Eunuch was made just to create a reliable servant. Someone who can do a job without worrying about them trying to usurp power and knock up the king's wife. Which is usually from slaves of conquered peoples or volunteers who want more power. The troon in today's case is a byproduct of feminism. While there are the weirdos who ARE legitimately sick and need that treatment, plenty are from nerds and autists who see the empowered women, want a piece of the action because they themselves could not get any, go troon and watch as they themselves get the treatment that they have craven and most of the time, its a form of revenge to get back at the very women that rejected them. Either by becoming better women (in their minds) or to get back at Stacy who rejected them ages ago or burned them many times.

There is a reason why its called "troon-incel" pipeline.

Ironically, the reason why those women spurned those men in the first place is because they don't act like men. While yes, being dumb and brutish is part of the package, men are expected to be direct, tough, resourceful, strong and inquisitive (questions authority if need be). Feminized men tend to be from backgrounds with weak or no fathers and/or overbearing mothers. And these feminized men or soyboys as they are known popularly, tend to be catty, anal (in terms of rules), vain, impulsive and most importantly, beheld to authority. In short, a pseudo-woman. And if you have noticed, Feminism has done an incredible job of creating these types of men with tainted mothers.

Its these types of men that end up becoming predditors. You need someone who upholds the female mindset alot to do what they do.

The problem is that he's not in charge. His company is publicly traded, which means his shareholders are in charge. The board of directors only care about one thing: an increasing profit every year. Anything that potentially threatens that must be dealt with. The problem with shareholders is that they almost always know nothing about how the thing they've invested in works and only think short term. I'm sure Matt spent a great deal of time in meetings trying to explain how this would be a bad idea, but he was ignored and forced to give the bullshit statement he provided.

Nothing else makes sense to me but this explanation. Why take a hardline stance a few days earlier then go back on it entirely? Either he totally abandoned all his principles in a few days, or he was forced.

The lesson here is simple: Be like Valve and stay private, and long term you'll see far more success than you ever would otherwise.

They are publicly traded, yea, then I can't see them reversing anything.

If you've ever listened to any the 'boring' annual shareholders meetings for companies that are doing really well, by being disruptive with their new technologies, you would hear the craziest shit. Being a public company means once a year the "Shareholders" can propose items for everyone to vote on. Anyone who owns enough shares can do this. All of your competitors will have third parties, NGOs, religious groups propose all kinds of bizzare "diversity/equity" requirements that you as a shareholder have to vote on. They even get 3 minutes to speak to everyone publicly, and lay out why their "diversity and inclusion" bill will "increase profits." The people proposing this stuff sound like terminally online twitter users, completely out of touch. It's surreal. These shareholder proposals could pass if enough voted yes. The competitors are always trying to weaken you. This company could be the most liberal, green promoting, lgbt+++++ organization and you'll still get "shareholders" screaming about how it's never enough. If a troon organization meets the % share requirement they could propose, every year, that the company needs to have a HRT awareness month, or some other gay bullshit, and there isn't anything the company can do, except pray the majority of the shareholders vote 'NO.'

TL;DR Being a publicly traded company lets you get false flagged once a year, by your own "shareholders," who are not acting in the best interests of the company, and in reality are bad actors trying to attack you through third party organizations (sponsored NGOs, environmental groups, churches) at the annual shareholders meeting.

Most people doesn't understand detachment and dissonance with the internet and reality.

You see 2k retweet and you immediately think EVERYONE agrees, without even considering bots, locations and regions. If you spread around just the states of USA, 2k retweets mean each state probably has 200+ retweets, in the big picture, they are super minor.

You don't see thousands of people dying everyday, but thousands are dying everyday, spread across everywhere. Will you say Americans are all dting and facing extinction? No, because that's not the reality.

Then coupled by some idiots on position of power/authority repeating what they saw, and you get stupidity like this. I guarantee the irl day to day people around you find troons fucking disgusting, but they just won't mention it because they just want to move along peacefully.

In places (majority of the world duh) where the population are not infected with lgbt poison, you can hear everyone saying how fucking disgusting they are.

I didn't spend enough time trying to enjoy the good old days while they lasted, so my part in it is rather limited even though I lived in it for a while. But I do know that while many of the usual human things were the same, people engaging in office politics against each other and the like, it felt like the internet simultaneously held it's residents to both a higher and lower standard. The shitposts were far more unhinged and spammy, the effort posts far more frequent and informative and there was a general narrative that we were living in the age of information, that the internet is the tool with which to access unlimited knowledge, though even back then it was still kind of hard to access said unlimited knowledge, but at least back then it didn't feel like an algorithm was actively keeping you away from it in favor of attempting to zombify your focus and waste your time in order to farm you for ad revenue.

But more importantly, many places in the old internet felt like places of flourishing opportunity. You could just go into any platform with the proper vision and as long as you worked hard enough on it you could gain quite a bit of traction and admiration for your skills. These days platforms are not only so overcrowded, but your social success is based primarily on algorithmic trends, being affiliated directly with someone who already has a large following or becoming some kind of living meme (high risk of becoming a lolcow there). It feels far less meritocratic today than it was back then and it typically makes most places feel void of opportunity.

Yet at the same time, around the later times where the old days were coming to a close, the bar wasn't really that high. Two men bantering with toaster mics while playing minecraft had the ability to become extremely successful and that was before the minecraft youtuber archetype became an oversaturated mess.
