Matt Furie
844 1/2 S Mariposa Ave Los Angeles, CA 90005
DOB August 14, 1979
Matt Furie is a Los Angeles based artist and comic writer who's been publishing his work professionally since the early 2000s, often using venues like MySpace to promote himself and his creations. His work is generally strange, deformed, and very similar to what one might find in a storybook for children. In fact, he has published at least one children's book, an interesting career move considering the kind of things he usually makes;
If you're psychotic enough to want more after this, enjoy this vore animation he made.
Matt's biggest claim to fame, however, is his comic Boy's Club. Originally published via MySpace in 2006, Boy's Club grew in popularity due to it's eccentric writing style and copious amounts of stoner and toilet humor. One page in particular drew the interest of 4chan, who took notice of the odd demeanor of a certain character who you'll probably recognize.
Regarding his politics, he's evidently a bit of a "punch nazis" type, given his response to the Richard Spencer incident.
While all of that certainly doesn't paint a picture of a particularly stable man, it's Matt's current actions that are pushing him over into lolcow material. After a children's book was published depicting a character very similar to Pepe, Matt took legal action against the publishers, and forced them to donate the profits of the book to a Muslim advocacy group. While Matt has a fair case for copyright infringement here, his statements about the lawsuit really illustrate how delusional he is regarding the meme he created. To quote the above article:
Furie wants one thing to be clear: Pepe the Frog does not belong to the alt-right. As this action shows, Furie will aggressively enforce his intellectual property, using legal action if necessary, to end the misappropriation of Pepe the Frog in any way that espouses racism, white supremacy, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, Nazism, or any other form of hate.
So all in all, it seems fair to expect some more lolsuits from Matt in the future over his frog drawing that 4chan likes. One can only wait to see how far he's planning on going with this, but in the meantime, noted pizzagate suspect Ben Garrison has summed up Matt's behavior pretty succinctly:
Matt's art, in general, is an eyesore. I think it's down to the colors he uses. The colors just look too bright. His linework is more tolerable, but that isn't saying much. Best I can say, his designs look lifted out of the Problem Solverz.

Interesting how Pepe came a long way! It came from an unfunny comic about some dog looking thing walking in on him while he's taking a leak, he's become an internet celebrity, and now he's being used to promote Alt-Right nazism to children!

You mean to tell me that the artist behind webcomic centered around stoner comedy's stoner-esque art style doesn't work for erotic stuff? Who would have thunk it?
