All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

The "lesser of two evils" is still evil.

Tolerance of that evil only shifts it closer to being considered normal.
But the choice is still there, and your moralizing will not make it go *poof* and disappear.

The question still remains:

Our bastard, Trump, or somebody else's bastard, Hillary?

Trump actually has tossed the idea around for decades because people frequently suggested it to him.

Hillary has always wanted it. Crushing her one true dream would be one of the most beautiful things ever. Factor in everything she touches turns to shit.

The choice is obvious.

If it meant stopping shit like the TPP, and other stuff like it that leaves Americans like you and me out of work and treated like slaves, of course the choice is obvious. Even if it ain't Trump for me, lovely as it's almost starting to sound.

I'm more interested in the 2020 election now. Who the fuck do you field after this disaster

Pepe the Frog will be running against the Ghost of Hitler in the ruins of old America after the nuclear apocalypse Trump will usher in to destroy everything we hold dear.

Well, that's what CNN told me, anyway.

I am actually interested in what (or more to the point, who) the Democrats have in mind as far as 2020 and 2024 go.

Clinton is about the last "legacy candidate" with a major name tie-in the last decade or two that I can think of. The other nominees of yesteryear have generally resigned themselves to not running or have died.

Pepe will be facing off against Wojak. Pepe promises the best feels, man. Wojak promises gfs.

Don't know about 2024, but if Hill is still alive the Dems will probaly ru her unaposed like thet did with Obama in 2012. Re real q

The real question is who are the Republicans going to run. Who has a clean enough record to avoid a repeat of the shitstorm of this election?
Nobody from their end in Congress. The obstructionism backfired hard on the GOP and it's their only card they even know how to play now the Tea Party is running the Asylum.

Also, Clinton is narrowing in on a 90% chance of victory according to 538.

I think we may see some different strategies from the GOP next time around. Trump is probably the bottoming out of the sort of rhetoric and strategies the party has been using since 2004. I predict a return to a more centrist GOP in 2020.

I could also be grossly :optimistic: though.
Sorry for the double post, but that is very optimistic. The 2012 campaign autopsy was pretty much ignored by the party. No way in hell they'll fix their shit over a decade into the slide into ideological insanity.

Worse, demographic changes in Texas make it highly unlikely to be safely republican in 2020 or 2024. Without Texas, the GOP is dead presidentially speaking.

I tend to suspect that they are going to double down on being right wing, probably further committing themselves to it.
