All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

I don't deny that the media has turned on Trump, but consider: over the course of the election, they have given him the equivalent of $2.8 billion in free publicity. $2,800,000,000 in interviews, rally coverage, and so on. They buried all of his Republican rivals, refused to air their pressers in favor of whatever the Donald was doing, allowed him to call into shows instead of making an appearance in person (which is somewhat unprecedented) etc. It probably would have continued indefinitely if he hadn't pulled that hotel stunt during the Birther controversy. This is something interesting to watch for the next cycle. Does the (((media))) do the same thing next time? Will there be a candidate as brilliant at manipulating them as the Donald? Or did the circus this time teach everyone a valuable lesson?

There is more money to be made watching a trainwreck than a horse race

You can bet any "joke" candidate like Trump doesn't get the kid gloves anymore. Republicans who are smart will actually be planning for the Hulk Hogan scenario. I think you're very likely to see another billionaire in 4 years though... the path is open to anyone with a cleaner history than Donald to take his message and run with it to the White House. Assuming we still have the same problems in 4 years (which Hillary is likely to make worse actually) the mood in this country and desire for nationalist-oriented change will also remain the same. And Hillary will be the monstrous effigy atop the massive pile of incompetence and corruption, waiting to burned.

Yes, you'll probably be getting a billionaire as your next president.
Or yours truly.

Here in the UK the bias is very telling, before with Brexit they made sure to give each side time with their point but with Trump they'll have a panel of 'experts' who are all pro Hillary and consider Trump to potentially be the next Hitler, the BBC will occasionally get a Trump supporter but they're typically a divisive person and the interviewer will badger them with loaded question, although occasionally someone like this sneaks in:
The UK should worry about it's own shit country instead of nosying in on US politics whether to . Didn't during Brexit many UK located people complain about the international input on Brexit (particularly American)?

Maybe talking about it occasionally and reporting on big news concerning the election but hosting panels and interviewing civilians?

GOP office in North Carolina gets fire bombed, along with graffiti "Nazi Republicans get out of town or else" spray painted nearby. No one was injured. Hillary has denounced the incident, while Trump is already blaming Clinton supporters.

And here's the edgelords on r/anarchism jacking themselves into a self-righteous fury.

A Democrat-led crowdfunding campaign raised 13,000 dollars to rebuild it

Which is higher than the damages caused by the firebombing.

Yeah but then Nigel Farage decided that it was okay for foreigners to interfere in elections and flew over to endorse his super-duper besty mate Donald Trump.
