All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

I'm curious, when did she cheat? Never heard that outside a discussion about how the election is rigged.
And to be fair, most people don't dive into the meat of most people's stories. I didn't know anything about her as a person until the election kicked off. Hell, I didn't realize she got her start in child advocacy, especially her involvment with CHIP.

I see the opposite. Most the volunteers I talk to aren't doing it due to her lack of a Y chromosome. A bunch of them are parents, mostly mothers. I can see how they get her appeal based on her tax credits for children. College students are the ones more likely to be shallow, but the ones I spoke two were gushing over the College Compact, which kicks the shit out of Trump's non-existant plan.

I think the idea that nobody would seriously like Hillary is more due to our insistence to file people into pure good and total evil. Humans are different than that. Not everyone who is supporting Trump is a mouth foaming psychotic who hates brown people, and not everyone supporting Hillary are bulldykes and cucks or gimmiedats.

The problems with Hillary that I've heard friends and peers voice has less to do with what she says now as what she's said and done in the past.

(That is probably related to most of the bunch also holding that her platform is just her bullshitting though...)

When she not only allowed Wasserman to rig the primary, but rewarded her for it by hiring her into her campaign staff.
I thought she got put in an unpaid position. And did we ever see collusion between the two? I haven't gone through every email from the DNC dump, so it would be news to me

The 2012 GOP autopsy was pretty indicative of how separated the establishment was from the base, at least as far as the GOP goes. The autopsy called for a "big tent" reachout to mexicans and blacks; Donald Trump came along, took a dump on it, then tore a piece off to wipe. This is not the party for minorities nor does its base want it to be. It will not change after 2016.

This article says it best. The GOP base believes minorities can never be real Americans, or in most cases are even people. Every policy Trump and his base support or don't support leads back to the idea that only white Christians deserve rights. So they will never change, never open up to others.

Orange County Republican Headquarters just got firebombed.

When will Clinton condemn this hateful rhetoric?
(Oh, right, never, because it's only okay to whine about that when it's right wing nutjobs).

The difference is Clinton won't release a statement patting them on the back and calling for more like Trump would.

Republicans recently released a flyer promising violence on anyone voting Clinton, saying voting was a matter of public record. They openly talk of assassination. They've done everything they can to normalize violence and intimidation as political tools, then act surprised when it's used on them.

While the people who did this should be punished, I hope some Republicans might see this and decide to renounce terrorism. But they probably won't, instead calling for attacks on blacks, Muslims, and anyone else they see as an enemy.

I don't exactly see anyone from the GOP or Trump's campaign pointing out why standing outside a Democrat office for 12 hours while armed was a bad idea. Obviously he means to show his support for gun rights and not at all using it as a veiled threat.
Remember, no matter who loses, the second people get violent, Trump/Clinton supporters will say "not all [Candidate] supporters"

Yeah aparently people in New Mexico are getting some eye-raising flyers in the mail.

This is pretty scary stuff, and also pretty misleading to anyone who might now be concerned that their neighbors will know who they vote for. Don’t worry, this country still uses a secret ballot system, so no one will know if you vote for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or Vermin Supreme. However, whether or not you vote is public record. So, theoretically, if you don’t vote, your neighbors could find out, but if you do vote, they won’t be able to tell who you chose.

Still the Daily Beast‘s Ben Collins wisely pointed out that a flyer like this could violate federal law. According to 18 U.S.C. § 594, if someone “intimidates, threatens, coerces, or attempts to intimidate, threaten, or coerce, any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for” a candidate in a federal election, can be found guilty of intimidation of voters, and face up to a year in prison. Threatening people with being outed for not voting for the Republican candidate sure seems to fit the bill.

Oh good, we're borrowing tactics from feminists now. Yeah, I will continue to say not all Trump/Clinton supporters. What's the alternative, believing that everyone who supports the other candidate is a violent lunatic? Given the trend of your posts, should we be worried you are going to hunt down @TrippinKahlua's anchor baby ass?

I'm making plans to be an actual poll watcher to report thuggery be they left or right. Also:

I've seen that, Snopes had an article about it.

According to the FBI, complaints regarding voter intimidation (among other voting law violations) should be referred to their Public Integrity Section, as well as of their field offices around the country. Several social advocacy groups, including the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, have also banded together to form the Election Protection coalition, a non-partisan group offering voters guidance against intimidation tactics and other issues.

They can't legally do any intimidation techniques of any kind, I think the Department of Justice has a phone number you can call or something if there is any form of intimidation.
I feel like there will be a lot of grey-area intimidation come voting day. So much of it, that the FBI or whoever handles that, won't be able to keep up with it.

Fire bombs, veiled threats from the established party, this is getting dicey af
