All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

However, I still believe Trump will be given the presidency without winning the election. How does this happen? Nobody gets the required majority of electorates.

Its a possibility but it's a highly unlikely scenario.

The trump campaign has wheeled out a really odd person to defend trump against one of his accusers

Anthony Gilberthorpe, a former Conservative activist who last made headlines in 2014 when he alleged that he had once supplied politicians with underage boys for Tory sex parties, told the New York Post that Jessica Leeds’ account doesn’t square with his memory

If you live in the UK you already know this guy's a joke lol

Trump cannot win the election at this point, if you're going by polls. Weak turnout may result in a "Brexit effect" but this is unlikely.

So, I have an honest question. Since there has been insinuated/proven bias regarding news coverage against Trump, and Fivethirtyeight's Nate Silver has already apologized for acting like a pundit (http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-i-acted-like-a-pundit-and-screwed-up-on-donald-trump/). Is there any reason to believe that polls are accurate/being conducted?

I should feel bad for trump as he's about to get mulched by Clinton's mad media skills but he's right fucking arrogant shit and he's had it coming. Why would trump run for president when he has this many radioactive skeletons in the closet?
I don't think anyone on his team expected to get this far.

Trump has one realistic path to the presidency at this point: Throwing the election to the House. If Evan McMullin spoils Utah (and it's really looking like he will at this point), the election gets thrown to the House. The only outcome in the GOP-majority House that seemingly respects voter choice, is picking Trump.

This election goes to the House, and Trump "wins". This is indisputable.

If they pick McMullin (a registered Republican), they will catch insane constituent blowback for not respecting voter choice. This is the outcome I'm currently predicting. Trump will lose the election, but will be handed the presidency by the House. This is going to be a very unpopular move that will highly mobilise Democrats in the next midterm election.

I'm not sure I understand this strain of logic, Most states will go to either Trump or Hillary and at least one of them will reach the necessary 270 electoral college votes to win the presidency. Right now Hillary only needs any states more Liberal than Colorado (which there is a 85.5% chance of it going to Clinton)

1) There are other statistical analyses out there other than 538, and they all don't paint a better picture for Trump. These statistical analyses are nothing more than evaluations of all polls which are treated like data points, and calculated into a % chance of one candidate winning.

2) These statistical analyses are entirely dependent on free-market style prestige in which if a statistical model is outed as having flawed heuristics and methodology, then their reputation will be tarnished for good. So far they've predicted the past 2 elections with extreme accuracy (to the point of predicting every single state accurately)

3) The last time a political party ignored the polls and just paid attention to the "unskewed polls" this happened:

And this

You do understand I care about this election for a long of very strong rational and personal reasons, right? I'm not playing contrarian.

I don't think you are, but would you mind explaining?

He's banging some military chick and is afraid that Clinton is gonna kill her.
Or so he says :optimistic:.
Has said she will declare war on Iran and Assad. Already starting neo-cold war w/ Russia. South China Sea conflict just waiting for moment of weakness to boil over.

Trump will be scrutinized endlessly and wants to make money. Clinton will get her way and wants to make war. Trump is the peace, law&order candidate.

Uh, bullshit man. Russia's the one who started the neo-Cold War. And no, we won't declare war on Assad or Iran. We'll perform strikes on Assad maybe, but war? Pfft, nah. Peace keeping operations. Iran literally is not going to start shit because they would get WRECKED. You have no idea how lacking in conventional power Iran is. Their IADS is shittier than Iraq's.

SCS is going to boil over eventually no matter what, no matter who is in office. Trump would make issues worse there, I guarantee it.

You are completely wrong and support criminal war monger. Can't explain on phone in all the ways you've disappointed.
And you're a paranoid idiot. Russia restarted the cold war with the Georgia intervention, and with their protest at the integration of the (Understandably very afraid of Russia) former Warsaw Pact states and the Baltics.

Fucking seriously dude.

I miss the "optimistic" rating.

I wish we had the dumb rating here, because I know I'd be using it.

That's not what I'm talking about. Aggressive, inflammatory and baseless rhetoric against Putin for her own lack of security. She is itching for war because Putin antiglobalism.
