I would tend to agree with that statement. As most people are aware, Hillary is herself quite conservative and yet plenty of self described Democrats flock to her. Her centrist position is closer to conservatives' than it is to liberals--especially when you look toward issues like the banks and handling of foreign relations.

Trump had it right as far as how deals with Hillary and other centrist Democrats go too. Both Bill Clinton and Obama made big promises about revitalizing inner city neighborhoods and improving conditions there. The day after election day, those issues became non-issues for four years' time each time.

Although I am very liberal, I identify far more with Trump than Clinton. I think Trump is full of shit on plenty of fronts--but he's also spoken the truth on many things that people like Obama and Hillary have refused to.

To use part of a Jimmy Carter quote, "the people are looking for (and need) honest answers, not easy answers."

People have been talking about Trump being a creepy asshole since he declared his candidacy. And before that, even. Thing is people say a lot of shit and there was more immediate stories happening. Then that video of him bragging about his adventures in pussy grabbing came out and the media is scurrying around following up on all this shit.

The tape is sexist in and of itself, but the true sleaze came out when Trump and his surrogates tried to defend it using "boys will be boys" sort of logic. As if sexual assault is just something guys do because they're guys. And that's only scratching the surface. The "50 shades of gray" thing is even worse personally. Their logic is that since millions of women read those books, it means millions of women are actually totally okay with the thought of having their pussies grabbed by Trump. I've heard that argument everywhere from facebook to CNN, and every time I encounter it I feel like chucking a brick at the head of the person using it.

Yes, 50 shades of bullshit was a bestseller. Yes, a lot of suburban housewives loved it because it turned them on. But does this mean those same women have no problem with people violating their personal space and treating them like objects? Fuck no. That very concept is psychotic. Not only that that series was widely criticized for the exact same reason the Trump people keep bringing it up: because it eroticizes what would count as rape if it happened in real life.

The argument these people are using basically comes down to "They wanted it anyway"
 
Fuck it, this election is over. Maybe that's jumping the gun a bit, maybe he was joking in that video (which it seemed like he was), but you can be damn sure most Americans don't share his sense of humor in regards to checking out 10 year olds.

His increasingly erratic behavior isn't exactly making much of a case for him either. From an outsiders perspective it almost looks like he's having some sort of mental breakdown. Like he's psychologically incapable of dealing with the amount of criticism he's getting.

If Trump wins this I will castrate myself with a pair of nail clippers.

I identify him less as another liberal as more of a "not Hillary." Voting for Hillary is voting for more of the same and that's not what I see is best. Trump is full of shit on plenty, but as I said, he has identified some things correctly such as the unfulfilled promises to the ghettos and pandering to others. When he isn't putting his foot in his mouth or spewing bullshit, he does have the occasional correct point--upholding the old saying that a broken clock is right twice a day.

Of course, it doesn't really matter at this point given the election is becoming more of a formality than anything else. Hillary is closing in on 9 to 1 odds.

Trump doesn't even appear visually in that video. Therefore, you do not know if he is actually talking about a child.
 
Yeah, this is over. He's now drafting a suit against the NY Times. The same NY times that has twice defeated the US Government in court for the right to publish.

He's also, more importantly, completely cut off his own nutsack w/r/t the Bill Clinton stuff. Bill's not running, Hillary is, so for that strategy to have ever had any success he has to be able to nail her with intimidating rape victims. Publicly threatening to sue anyone who comes forward with groping allegations makes him literally, in the past day, guilty of what he's trying to convince people she's done. This is not a tactical move, it's an angry narcissist lashing out.

This election really is extraordinary. I can't wait to read the Game Change that comes out of this one.
